      About this trip

We're heading back to Uzbekistan in 2024! To make your stay even more comfortable, we've upgraded your stay with ✨a new selection of beautiful hotels✨. Enjoy our 5* reviewed adventure through Uzbekistan with like-hearted ladies from around the world.

Adventure through Uzbekistan on our epic 10-day itinerary designed with Muslim travellers in mind. You'll explore rich Islamic heritage, learn more about important scholars and historical figures who once lived here, enjoy delicious Uzbek cuisine and hone your artistic skills doing calligraphy, designing pottery and making Uzbek plov.

Here's what one of our guests, Saadia, says about this trip:

      "Adventure in Uzbekistan!
" This was my second trip with HTG - and let's just say I've left a part of my heart in Uzbekistan!

Soumaya's hard work, and planning is quite evident when you see the carefully chosen hotels, and the rich in history itineraries she chooses.

I, truly, was able to sit back and relax and let everything be taken care of. As a meticulous planner, this is extremely hard for me to do normally, but I feel I could not have done it better myself.

Travelling with HTG gives you the added bonus of feeling safe, and finding like minded travellers with whom you form a bond. A special thanks to Humoyun (our local host in Uzbekistan) who ensured the group was taken care of - and added to the spiritual discussions on our many road trips!"
      Saadia, UK

I was blown away by this trip. We were a small group of 6 women, which was perfect and made for easy touring. The hotels were great and located perfectly in both Mostar and Sarajevo. The tour itinerary was amazing and had great locations included and we were taken from one to another seamlessly. Finally, Dino, our guide was fantastic. He was super amazing and was a wealth of knowledge on the history of Bosnia. He drove us around for the duration of our trip and we felt safe in his company. I cannot recommend him enough for future tours. Overall, had a fantastic trip and would love to return in the future. 😊

Jordan was breathtaking and completely surpassed my expectations. Both our tour leader Jihane and local guide Mays were wonderful. Jihane did great in keeping us in the loop and addressing any concerns while Mays’ knowledge of her country and its history really ensured that we had the best, most enriching time possible. The full day at Petra was a real highlight and I appreciated that we had enough time to explore it as we saw fit. Another favourite was our day and night in Wadi Rum. The free stargazing experience that Ahmed, the owner of Rum Planet Camp, arranged for us was otherworldly. He pointed out the stars and constellations to us with such care and enthusiasm it felt like we were in the open-air classroom of a beloved teacher! Traveling with a group of ladies was inspiring and the camaraderie was wonderful. I was apprehensive as a solo traveler but I very quickly realised that my worries were unfounded when I met the rest of the ladies. I am really pleased and grateful that I had the opportunity to travel with HTG and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I loved the fantastic journey to Jordan. It exceeded my expectations. Jihane did an excellent job as our coordinator, and Mays was very knowledgeable and went beyond her duties as our tour guide! It felt as though we were experiencing a tale that took us through all the sacred locations and exciting escapades in the desert and wonderful Petra! The hotels and lodging in the cities/desert were excellent. Thank you!

This was my third trip with HTG, the other two being Bosnia and Uzbekistan, which were all incredible. My favourite element of the trip was the free stargazing experience in the Wadi Rum desert. I wish we could've stayed an extra night! The beach day in Aqaba was also really fun. Our tour guide Mays was very sweet. The HTG team was incredibly helpful and understanding when it came to any problems we had. However, one issue I had with the trip were the restaurant choices. We were taken to a lovely restaurant for one of the included lunches, but weren't given any choice on what to order. One woman on the trip was given pasta since she was a vegetarian, and the rest of us were given mixed grill (we only realised what we were going to eat when the waiter placed it on our table). I'm personally not a fan of mixed grill so it would have been nice to have been provided with a menu so I could choose what I wanted. There were also a few occasions where the meals weren't included by HTG yet we still had no freedom. We were taken to tourist trap restaurants that didn't even have a menu. The worst instance was when we were given a small plate of rice and chicken and asked to pay 20 dinars. This didn't happen in Bosnia or Uzbekistan so it was a little surprising. I think for meals that aren't included, we really should be given more freedom, or informed beforehand what the options will be. For instance, if I was aware of where we would be taken that day, I would have bought a cheap sandwich or wrap in the morning to eat for lunch instead.

We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your trips to Bosnia, Uzbekistan, and now Jordan! The stargazing experience in Wadi Rum and the beach day in Aqaba sound like incredible highlights. We’re glad you had fun and enjoyed these unique experiences. Mays, our tour guide, will be delighted to hear your kind words. We appreciate your feedback regarding the restaurant choices. It was a truly amazing trip! It gave me some unique and wonderful experiences. Staying in the luxury desert camp in Wadi Rum was the highlight of the trip for me. The whole trip was well organised and full of adventure. Our tour leader and tour guide were so friendly and accommodative. The meals included in the trip price were really good. This trip not only gave me the opportunity to visit so many places of religious and historic significance but also provided me the opportunity of meeting amazing people. This was my first trip with complete strangers and within a day of meeting these strangers, I felt I was travelling with a group of friends. The free time in Amman gave us the opportunity to explore some fantastic eating places. A very special thanks to Soumaya for being so understanding and accommodative when Wizz Air gave us problems due to changes in flight dates and times. Soumaya and Gia were fully approachable before and during the trip. I can’t wait to go on another HTG trip and have no hesitation in recommending HTG to my friends and family. Keep up the good work sister Soumaya! I am especially proud of what you are doing for those Muslim ladies who are reluctant to travel in mixed gender groups.

Dear Rehana, Salaam! 🌟 Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with us in Jordan this May! We’re thrilled to hear that your trip was truly amazing and filled with unique and memorable experiences. Staying at our wonderful camp in Wadi Rum, run by Brother Ahmed, was a highlight for you. It's also one of our favourite places to visit while in Jordan! It’s fantastic to know that the included meals were delicious and that you had the chance to visit many places of religious and historic significance. We're delighted you felt so connected with your fellow travellers and quickly turned strangers into friends. We’re especially grateful for your kind words about Soumaya and Gia. It’s wonderful to hear that they were approachable and supportive, especially with the flight issues caused by Wizz Air. Your appreciation means a lot to us. Thank you for recommending us to your friends and family. We can’t wait to welcome you on another HTG adventure soon! Warmest regards, The Halal Travel Guide Team 🌍✨
