About your trip

The heART of Bhakti – Mythology, Mantra, Movement is an immersive journey into the yoga of devotion. Through chanting, sacred storytelling, the study of yogic texts, and embodied movement, you’ll be guided into the heart of what Bhakti truly is: a felt experience of connection.

I like to see Bhakti as a path that teaches us to cultivate a loving and trusting relationship with life itself.

How would it feel to move through your days with more gratitude and ease? How would it feel to let life carry you like a current rather than constantly swimming against the tide?

Each day begins with a two-hour morning practice weaving together asana, chanting, and meditation. After a nourishing homemade brunch, we split into two groups (beginner & intermediate) for harmonium practice taught in a simple, accessible, and encouraging way. From there, we dive into yogic philosophy and storytelling, and we close each day by chanting our hearts out in evening kirtan.

Why “ART” of Bhakti?
Because Bhakti, like poetry, devotion, or love is not a science. It is art. You can study it, but its essence can only be felt. We chant these mantras and tell these ancient stories so that their meaning can be experienced in the body and the heart, not just understood in the mind.

Throughout the training, you’ll deepen your understanding of yogic philosophy. We’ll explore the three main currents of Bhakti in India and study Vaishnava, Shaiva, and Shakta traditions. You’ll get to know the stories, symbolism, and teachings of beloved deities such as Hanuman, Ganesha, Lakshmi, Durga, Krishna, and others.

Note: You do not need to bring your own harmonium. several instruments will be provided for use during the training. If you do have your own harmonium, please feel free to bring it along.

What my students say

Jenny N.

Dear Sara!

Thank you so much for this beautiful bhakti weekend 🫶!

I loved the full package of practicing together in the morning, already watering our souls with tears while singing together at the end of the classes, having the most nourishing brunch, playing and especially learning how to play the harmonium in the afternoon at first and then diving deep in bhakti yoga philosophy and eventually singing and playing together in the kirtan evening 💛! It was awesomly arranged and perfectly organized 🥰!

Can't wait to practice the mantras on the harmonium and use it in classes when I feel ready 🫶! Thanks for your grounded and at the same time up-lifting approach of teaching and for empowering, reminding and showing us that we find everything we need within 🙏

Viktoria F.

I attended the (he)art of Bhakti training, because I wanted to learn more mantras and also about the philosophy. I wasn't keen on learning how to play the harmonium - should've just been a nice side activity for me. Turned out - that I unlocked a new passion. I love to play the harmonium and chant mantras by myself now almost every day.

Spending these three days with so many kind and loving people, in such an beautiful atmosphere was such a great experience. It still gives me energy, when I think about it.

I would recommend it to everyone who wants to learn about yogic philosophy, chanting mantras, learn how to play the harmonium or wants to have a great weekend with great people that makes you just love your life even more.

Jessica A.

This Bhakti training was truly incredible and far exceeded my expectations. I learned so much, and I was deeply impressed by the way the teachings were shared. Sarah offered such profound knowledge with a clarity and warmth that made everything feel accessible and meaningful.

The practices were rich, powerful, and deeply moving. In this training, I felt something that can’t quite be described in words; something I’ve been seeking for years, and it found me the moment I surrendered. It was one of the most beautiful feelings I’ve ever experienced; a huge realization, a missing piece to the puzzle. Something within me awakened and aligned.

This journey reminded me why I practice yoga, and reconnected me with my purpose both on and off the mat. It brought me back to my purest essence. I had a profound and spiritual experience; and I feel wholeheartedly that Bhakti is the path I am meant to follow and embody. This training felt like a beautiful and loving initiation into that devotion, and I am so grateful for it.

Paulina C.

In just a few words I can only say I’m infinitely grateful for being able to have this experience.

For me, you are someone that really embodies what you share and all your wisdom so everything felt more natural and nourishing coming from you. For a long time Bhakti yoga has been on my mind, I knew what it was, I saw you and other people I admire too practicing and I felt deeply called but thought it was not really for me.

Now, after the training and that weekend together, I not only know what Bhakti is, I know what it feels like and although there are no words, I can say it has connected me with myself, God, and the beauty of Life more than any other practice. It’s been easy to practice and love it. The way you taught it to us, just made me get into it and I’m becoming more and more addicted to it. Looking forward to continue learning from you again in the future.
