Travel From Boston, MA to Memphis, TN
We depart from Boston, MA and head for “The River City” and the “birthplace of the blues” Memphis, TN. Upon arrival we begin with a riding tour of Memphis and take in sights such as the National Civil Rights Museum, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and other great areas of the city. Later this afternoon we arrive at our Deluxe Hotel Accommodations in downtown Memphis, TN. This evening enjoy the fun and excitement of famous Beale Street after we enjoy our included dinner at one of Memphis’ famous restaurant institutions located on Beale Street

Our second day of touring Memphis, TN
Enjoy a terrific buffet breakfast at our hotel. Then, put on your blue suede shoes for our visit to Graceland, the palatial home of Elvis Presley. Enter Elvis’s 14-acre estate and visit his home, original business office, trophy building and the Meditation Garden, where Elvis and members of his family have been laid to rest. Enjoy lunch on our own at Graceland. We depart from Memphis and head for the Music Capital of the U.S. Nashville, TN. This evening we head out for Nashville’s # 1 Dining and Entertainment destination - the famous Wildhorse Saloon. More than 1.5 million music lovers stampede through their doors annually to catch the hottest in live entertainment, learn the newest dance steps and dine on their award-winning Southern smokehouse cuisine. Enjoy a fabulous Full Breakfast at the resort. We then depart to enjoy a riding city tour to acclimate us to the wonderful sights of the area such as the State Capitol, Music Row and the Parthenon - a full scale replica of the Athenian original! We will visit the cultural epicenter of the music city, Ryman Auditorium. Most famous as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 - 1974, its history as Nashville’s premiere theater and central gathering place started even before construction was complete in 1892. Lunch today is on our own. This evening enjoy a terrific meal at one of the Opryland’s fantastic restaurants, included as part of your package. After dinner we take in the Nighttime performance of the Grand Ole Opry from our reserved seats.

Enjoy a fabulous Full Breakfast at the resort. before we headout for our backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry and walk out on the main stage! You never know you just might run into one of the entertainers for the evening. Then bring your appetite as we take in the General Jackson Lunch Cruise. While “rollin’ down the river,” you’ll enjoy stunning views, a delicious meal freshly prepared, and toe-tapping entertainment in a two-story Victorian Theater in the center of the boat. One of the largest showboats ever built, the grand General Jackson is an elegant triumph of American ingenuity. This afternoon take some time to explore our hotel and take in the Delta River Flat Boat Cruise. This evening explore dinner on your own at the Opryland Resort.

Nashville to Boston
Enjoy a terrific full breakfast at our hotel before we depart for the Country Music Hall of Fame to be explored at your own pace. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Hall of Fame or take an easy stroll over to Honky Tonk Row for food, beverage, shopping and so much more with your free time. Included in our package is a visit to Historic RCA Studio B, for an up close look at Nashville’s oldest remaining record studio. This evening we enjoy a terrific meal at Blake Shelton’s restaurant Ole Red for food and fun! We then depart for home with incredible memories of a wonderful trip together!

Travel From Boston, MA to Memphis, TN

The trip was spoiled by a detour from Marblehead (which is 2 hrs to Newport) to westborough a 1 1/2 hr detour on a bus..left MBHD at 630 am arrived in Newport,RI 10am Our time in Newport was nice, seeing 2 mansions and lunch.we left Newport at 345pm Arrived in Marblehead at 715 another 3 1/2 hrs on the road..why were the Marblehead clients put in the position for both detours??? Should you have brought the Marblehead people directly back and detoured to westborough on the way back. Also the tour guide was not educated in the history of the area. Would to use this company again.

Thank you for a fun experience. A few items. The bus driver was great, unfortunately we were seated in the back and it took about an hour to warm up on a chilly morning. That bus was cold. (Understand you have to turn off heat going thru Boston tunnel but it shouldn't have taken that long to warm up.) The guide was kind, considerate with a warm friendly way about her and also nice enough to bring water and energy bars which we appreciated very much - thanks. We did feel our guide lacked information. We had done some research fortunately on the Newport Mansions before the trip. Our guide promised "lots of juicy gossip, stories" and instead told the same story twice and missed out on a lot of amazing Vanderbilt history that we felt she really should have known. Certainly it's available online, using the app and at the house so it IS available but we were a little surprised how little the guide shared in person and did think she should be more knowledgeable. Fun outing overall, great homes, lovely views. Thanks.

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Nashville. It was our first time traveling with Best of Times and we would not hesitate to travel with them again. Everything was taken care of from flights to transportation to tickets for shows. Kevin and Rebecca were fantastic. A really fun time.

Our guide and driver were great but it was a very long day. I was not made aware that this trip included other groups which had to be collected before we headed to the final destination. However I felt adequate time was allowed to visit both houses and to have lunch/shop.

Had a good time. Kevin gave clear explanations and repeated several times so everyone understood. Hotel accommodation was very good and the Rockettes fantastic!
