Legacy Trips is proud to host The Racial Equity Insights Retreat on the Caribe side of beautiful Costa Rica!
The Racial Equity Insights Retreat.
January 15-20.
Costa Rica.
This 6-day, 5-night retreat is for people of all racial and gender identities who have the self-awareness to see the current historical moment at hand. This is for the people who see and grieve the current attack on human rights happening in the United States and globally, and who have decided that simply standing by and watching is not enough. This retreat is for the lovers of humanity who want to actually be a part of the healing, advocacy, and liberation work that is critically needed NOW.
With over 20 years of experience training, coaching, and teaching anti-racism, Tony Nabors, founder and owner of Racial Equity Insights, wants you to come spend time with him in person so he can sharpen your knowledge and skills while strengthening your sense of community. As the legendary Audre Lorde once said, “Without community, there is no liberation.”
You have seen his work on Instagram and TikTok. But this is your opportunity to come and experience live workshops in a tropical setting, with an aligned community, while also having time to yourself. There is a particular energy and magic in Costa Rica that makes it the perfect space for a life changing experience!
Tony will deep dive with you to give you the historical and educational essentials to be an anti-racist advocate, the personal/social/emotional skills to learn and unlearn your mental programming, as well as many practical skills to be able to use your voice and influence to make TANGIBLE CHANGES in advancing racial equity in your relationships, community, at work, politically, and beyond.
In addition to the daily workshops, this retreat also includes meals, a full-day beach excursion, mindfulness activities, yoga and gentle movement, nature walks, and much more. Optional add-on private services are available such as massage.

This trip is designed for people of all racial and gender identities, 18 years of age and older, who want to do the inner work of allowing truth to guide them in their anti-racism journey.
Protecting and honoring Black women is our priority. In a dynamic where folx of different racial identities will be confronting and unpacking their racism in the presence of Black women, please note that we intentionally and respectfully center, prioritize and defer to the expertise and voices of the Black women in the space. This commitment includes intentionality in the execution of all parts of the week.
