About this trip

Step onto the island of Poros and let life slow down. This retreat is your chance to experience the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle exactly where it was meant to be lived—by the sea, in a welcoming Greek village, surrounded by good food, good conversation, and the kind of everyday beauty that resets your whole system. Over the course of the week, you’ll cook, explore, taste, wander, and settle into the rhythm of island life with a small, heartfelt community. This is Greece at its most human, its most nourishing, and its most real.

🌿 What You’ll Experience

Mediterranean Cooking & Seasonal Ingredients
You’ll cook with the freshest seasonal ingredients Greece has to offer—wild herbs, vibrant produce from local farms, fresh cheeses, legumes, olive oil, and seafood from nearby waters. Under the warm, joyful guidance of Chefs Katerina, Dora & Jeremy you’ll turn these ingredients into traditional dishes that carry the soul of the Mediterranean diet: simple, deeply flavorful, and rooted in centuries of wisdom.

Movement, Excursions & Cultural Immersion

Throughout the week, you’ll experience both sides of this beautiful region—island life on Poros and the neighboring Peloponnese mainland—giving you a fuller sense of the landscape, history, and everyday rhythm of Greece.

On Poros, you’ll explore charming village lanes, seaside paths, and the welcoming local community, while also venturing across the water to discover the farms, villages, and ancient sites of the mainland. We’ll visit local producers, spend time at the Odyssey Eco-Farm, and travel deeper into the Peloponnese for cultural excursions that connect the food and lifestyle of today with the history of the region.

You’ll also enjoy a stunning day trip to Hydra, an island known for its stone alleys, artistic spirit, and car-free tranquility.

Together, these experiences offer a chance to move beyond a single destination and experience the contrast and connection between island, coast, countryside, and mainland Greece.

Life on a Greek Island
Your home for the week is the Odyssey Hotel in the Askeli Beach area—perfectly placed for you to live like a local on a picturesque Greek island. You’ll wake to the sound of the sea, wander down to the beach, stroll into the village for a coffee or an evening gelato, and settle into the easy rhythm of island life. It’s a setting that invites you to slow down, savor the culture, and experience Poros the way it’s meant to be lived.

🌿 Who This Immersion Is For

This week is for anyone who wants to experience the Mediterranean lifestyle rather than simply learn about it.

It’s for those drawn to slow, communal meals, simple and deeply nourishing food, natural movement, time outdoors, and a stronger connection to place, culture, and community.

Whether you’re entering a season of change, craving a reset, curious about the Mediterranean diet, or simply looking for a more meaningful way to experience Greece, this immersion offers the space to slow down, reconnect, and experience the rhythms of island and mainland life firsthand.

Itinerary Changes

We’ve thoughtfully created this itinerary to give you a beautiful rhythm for our time together. At the same time, retreats have a way of unfolding uniquely, and we want to remain attentive to the needs of the group. Greece also has its own natural rhythm shaped by the weather, the sea, and a more relaxed cultural pace. Because of this, certain activities or times may adjust organically and/or intentionally as we move through the week.

We value creating an experience that supports each person fully, and we appreciate your openness to any shifts that allow us to do so.
