Are you looking to develop your paddling skills and experience in 'moving water'? Oban is home to tidal venues including the famous Falls of Lora and Cuan Sound.

This course is suited to Intermediate paddlers wanting to develop existing tidal skills and build confidence.

I've teamed up with Phil de Iongh from Wild Isles Sea Kayaking. Both myself and Phil are Advanced Water sea kayak leaders and coaches.

Paddlers with some experience of moving water and crossing eddy lines on rivers or the sea and to be comfortable paddling in wind and waves up to Force 4. A roll is helpful but not essential. 

The venues we could use include the Falls of Lora, Cuan Sound and the Grey Dogs.

Your refund depends on how much notice you give. I will endeavour where practicable to refund.

28 days or more 100% refund - Admin fee: £25.00 fixed fee

Between 28 days and 14 days 50% refund- Admin fee: £50.00 fixed fee

Less than 14 days No refund Admin fee: £50.00 fixed fee.

Additional Terms Amount-based conditions and deposit rules that cannot be expressed in the structured rules:

- 7-day rule applies only when the total booking value (excluding hire fees) is £250 or less; cancellations made at least 7 full days prior receive a full refund to the original payment card minus a £50 admin fee.

- 28-day rule applies when the total booking value (excluding hire fees) is over £250; cancellations made at least 28 full days prior receive a full refund to the original payment card minus a £50 admin fee.

- Where a deposit is required, the deposit is non-refundable. Full payment is required by the stated date.

For cancellations made at least 28 full days prior: if the remaining balance (excluding hire fees) is over £200, only the balance is refundable to the original payment card minus a £50 admin fee; the deposit remains non-refundable.

- If weather/sea conditions are not ideal but the activity still goes ahead, no refund is due.

- “Hire fees” are excluded from value thresholds mentioned above.
