Excellent Introduction to moving water course with Alice and Phil. Really useful tips and exercises to practice but most of all encouragement . Would highly recommend.

Had a super day of Intro Tidal Paddling instruction with Alice and Phillip a couple of weeks ago. Alice explained the fundamentals perfectly, drawing on parallels in the non paddling world that made a lot of sense to me as well as the rest of the group. Progression was timely through out the day. With an excellent paddler:coach ratio, I really felt that the coaches were able to observe each of us, answer individual questions and offer directed feedback. I came away from the day energised and understanding a lot more than when I arrived. I am definitely keen to pursue this and other courses with Alice. I can definitely recommend her coaching, friendly and professional manner. Because of Alice's coaching I even felt confident tackling an eddy (and succeeding as intended!) the following day when river-sea paddlers cautioned against. Told I had the best approach ;) Thank you Alice and Phil!

Good mix of weather and conditions made for a great day learning. Again a good mix of people on the course. Alice and Phil were fantastic coaches drip feeding us techniques and also simplifying how o do things. At the end of the day when the tide was changing g they were great showing us hw to use what we had learned. Thanks again.

The two days were well paced with appropriate levels of challenge and support. The challenging wind over the two days was well managed through knowledge-led venue choices. Lots of opportunity to learn new skills with time to embed them. Two great coaches with lots of relevant knowledge and experience.

Alice and Phil delivered a top notch fundamentals of tidal moving water day at cuan. Level was just right to provide challenge and still find the joy. Lots of practising, self learning.. and really got to grips with it.
