Manifa Travel is an adventure tour operator from Luang Prabang Laos. Our Main office is in the historical area of Luang Prabang city, Sakkaline Rd, Vat Sene village, opposite of Villa Santi hotel.
Did this trip as family of four (two teens). It was about 4 hours of walking through jungle/farmland but mostly on tracks with some steep/rocky bits but nothing too taxing. We walked through a local village and spoke to some locals and bought a few trinkets from some ladies. Our guide, Wron (sorry not sure of spelling!) was very knowledgeable and explained history and traditions of the Lao people which was very interesting. Tasty local lunch and water was provided. We were able to buy a cold drink from a stall near to the lunch spot. We arrived at the waterfall area and it was a steep and slippery climb down the mountain from the top of the falls to the bottom. However, some railings had been put up to help and as it was dry it wasn't too bad. The waterfall and pools were very beautiful and we had a quick dip even though the water was very cold. Also had a quick visit to the bear sanctuary. The bears looked happy enough and we bought a bag to help support the charity. Bus was already waiting to take us back to town at the end. Overall a good day and we would certainly recommend as an interesting way to see some Laos countryside and local life.
Our tour was successful, the minivan was comfortable. Our guide Pong was very friendly, he told us a lot of interesting stories about Laos and answered our questions. We had a great time and would recommend this compact tour to anyone who wants to explore Laos more. Despite our limited time, we managed to see a lot.
