Since ancient times, heart-centered people have known that a solar eclipse isn’t only an astronomical event; it’s a bridge from the visible world to the infinite cosmos.

Long before clocks and calendars, humans understood that in the brief minutes the moon’s shadow eclipses the light of the sun, the heart flies open for emotional renewal, personal evolution, and cosmic connection.

August 2, 2027, will be one of those moments.

Held by the myth-soaked hills of Andalusia, southern Spain, Dan Cohen, PhD and Emily Blefeld, LICSW, are leading a 6-day Seeing with Your Heart immersion for a select group of consciousness evolutionaries. Our days together offer an extraordinary invitation to bring your personal intentions - dreams, challenges, or aspirations - and experience the eclipse as a marker of a new era in your life.

Since 2013, Emily and Dan have led transformative retreats in places where humanity's highest spiritual aspirations alchemize the land’s bruised and bloody ground. Like the heart itself, each place is exquisite in its beauty and bathed in the shadow of past afflictions. This gathering in Spain will ground celestial wonder in your bones, open ancestral doors, and let the cosmos move through you in the most intimate, embodied ways. Expect music, mystery, and magic as we root into the land of sun-warmed stone, dance beneath jasmine-soaked nights, and wander streets that echo with story and soul.

When the midday sky dissolves into darkness, the fiery corona of the sun, brilliant Venus, and bright Regulus in the constellation Leo, will bathe you in their celestial light. Within Seeing with Your Heart’s spontaneous and intuitively guided Alchemical Constellations, the shadow becomes a threshold. Just as the light remains intact behind the eclipse’s veil, our inner radiance is never lost, only hidden behind the survival stories we’ve been taught to carry.

With the eclipse as our mirror, we’ll explore:

1. Where in my lineage was brilliance dimmed, expression softened, light eclipsed, for the sake of safety, loyalty, or love?

2. Where in my own story, have I chosen safety over radiance?

Over 6-days, through Constellation work, cultural exchange, and earth-based ceremony, we will explore the eclipse not only as an awe-inspiring spectacle, but also as a source of transmission, and teaching. As day briefly turns to night, we will walk the path of sun and shadow within ourselves: we will stand as representatives for our ancestors, for our younger selves, for the forgotten parts of soul, and invite them back into the heartbeat of wholeness.

Attendees will experience a weaving of sky and soil, science with soul, personal healing and collective reconciliation. Each thread woven between these realms invites us to remember that we are not separate from the cosmos, but part of its unfolding story; rooted in the earth, lit by the stars, and shaped by the echoes of those who came before.

On this retreat, the connections you form, burdens you shed, and insights you gain will create a turning point of transformation equal to the magnificence of the eclipse itself.

In collaboration with Cross Cultural Journeys, this immersion honors a commitment to reciprocity. Each journey supports local communities through a meaningful service component and a 1% donation of proceeds that is determined by the group. This process is facilitated by the leader of the tour and the funds are distributed to an in-country partner organization. For every tour guide we employ, we prioritize those who can do more than lead, those who can facilitate meaningful, heart-centered connections between participants and the local community.
