THE CAMPSITE

Our camp is located at 3,600 meters above sea level just in front of the Volcan de Fuego and if the weather is clear you will see the Agua and Pacaya volcanoes too!

You sleep in a 3-people cabin shared between 2 people to have more space and comfort.

The cabins have a mattress to isolate the cold, a 6-inch mattress, a blanket, pillow, linner sleeping bag, and cold weather sleeping bag. This equipment is present in the camp. (You will not carry any of this)

The camp has its bathroom, which they will not share with other groups.

WALKING STICKS

Our goal is to help the community, which is why we work with a  grandmother  from San José  Calderas who offers her walking sticks for Q5. This cane can be very helpful when climbing since you carry a lot of weight on your back and when you return, the path can be slippery and you can protect your knees.

STORAGE

We have a storage room so you can bring your luggage and we will take care of it.

WEATHER

When dealing with the climate in the Acatenango volcano, is something very difficult to predict because it is a rainy subtropical forest. (This does not mean that it will always rain, in contrast, it depends a lot on the season)

RESERVATIONS

We have 3 options for you to book with us. Payment in advance is necessary to confirm your reservation. We request the payment at least 48 hours before departure.

1) Visit our office in Antigua Guatemala at 2a. Calle Poniente #25.

2) Pay online with a credit card (It has a 10% extra charge). *Request the Payment link*

3) Or make a bank deposit on any BANRURAL (this bank is all over Guatemala) *Request the Bank account number*.

When you complete your transaction, please send us a screenshot of the receipt. 

By making any transfer, payment or deposit you are accepting that you are a serious customer and that you will attend the event, therefore: 

• Present your payment or transfer ticket, the day of the event. 
• NO REFUND IS MADE WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTION DUE THE CANCELLATION BY THE AGENCY. 
• Only the refund of your money will be made when CA Travelers is obligated to cancel the event. 
• The money refund will be made in approximately 5 business days. 
• There is not return of money if the following event occurs the following: bad weather during the tour, blockages in the roads, or any external and uncontrollable inconvenience that affects the accomplish ment of the tour. 
• You are responsible for the things you carry, we are not responsible for things lost offorgotten iat the campsite, in the shuttle, at the supply center or CA travelers office. 
• The payment you make for this tour can not be transfered to any other tour or service. 
• If you want to be part of our expedition, but you want to travel in your own vehicle, you must pay the total contribution of the tour. You must adapt to the itinerary which will not be modified unless circum stances warrant it. 
• You need to respect the guides or any other CA Travelers staff member instructions. If you dont follow the rules and disrespect the staff, you will be expelled from the tourand from that moment on CA Travelers will not be responsible of you. 
• If you are booking for you and some other people you are responsible that all the members of your group read all this information to secure a good experience.
