Relive the Age of Exploration to the Gilded Age in the oldest city in the United States, St. Augustine, founded in 1513. We will delve into the historical, cultural, and architectural significance while examining its role in shaping early American history. Learn how these early events later fueled the Gilded Age’s industrial expansion while discovering the landscape of 16th and 17th-century colonial life through the lens of Spanish settlers, French, Africans, Native Americans, British, and of course… pirates!

This trip includes a study guide, hands-on activities, and visits to St. Augustine’s historic sites that bring history to life!

Some of the events included: 

  • Interactive visit to the Old Jail including hands-on fingerprinting activities

  • The Oldest Store Museum Private Tour

  • Florida Heritage History Museum

  • Private tour of Flagler College (Former Ponce de Leon hotel)

  • Presentation and tour at the Pirate and Treasure Museum, one of the largest collections of rare pirate artifacts in the world including Captain Thomas Tew's Treasure Chest

  • Castillo de San Marcos Fort Tour

  • Fountain of Youth, featuring exhibits on Ponce de León and Native American history

  • Trolley Tour Program

  • Educational boat cruise on the historic St. Augustine Bayfront

  • Private Tour of the St. Augustine Lighthouse (Must be 44” to climb the lighthouse)  

*activities may vary due to weather or unforeseen circumstances

Transportation: Your private vehicle, trolley and walking tours

Activity limitations:

Some older buildings at the living history museums have stairs and limited accessibility. This program involves extensive walking around St. Augustine, exploring museums including indoor and outdoor activities. We will also be experiencing a ship ride. Please plan to dress appropriately for the weather.

Tuition and Fees Schedule:

Student 0-4 years - Free  

Student 5-18 years - $275

Adult - $225

(Payment plans available) 

*This program is approved for Step-Up for Students in Florida and may qualify for school voucher programs 

Does not include:

Flights, airport transfers, travel insurance, lodging, additional meals, or money for souvenirs.
