Laura and her family were literally like old time friends. We had a spectacular experience in Dry Tortugas and Key West. At one point we didn’t have much battery to find our way back to the hotel and they walked us there. They were on top of details and everyone’s individual needs. We will definitely repeat another trip with Northwinds Institute!

Our National Geographic Family Journey to Costa Rica exceeded every expectation. It was the perfect combination of education, adventure, wildlife, and cultural immersion. My children had an incredible time, but what impressed me most was how much they learned without ever feeling like they were in a classroom. Every day was filled with hands-on experiences that sparked their curiosity and made science, ecology, and conservation come alive. This wasn’t a vacation—it was an experience that inspired curiosity, appreciation for nature, and a deeper understanding of another culture. My children came home with stories, knowledge, and confidence that simply can’t be gained from reading a textbook. It was one of the best investments we’ve ever made in our family’s experiences, and we will be talking about this adventure for years to come.

I was so impressed with how well North Winds Institute handled such a large amount of participants! Everything was perfectly coordinated. I can't wait to attend another event with them!
