MAXIMUM IMPACT TRAVEL was created to foster international and domestic travel experiences. Founded by entrepreneur, playwright, author and philanthropist: Jay Cameron. Realizing that most of his life had been consumed by working domestically, a trip to Ghana changed his perspective. His experience transformed the way he saw traveling. As a result, he set out to encourage others to see the world through their own eyes, not only through the eyes of the media. You are invited to join Jay and his team on their adventures around the globe!

They say nothing is as good as the first time. But when it comes to travel experiences with Maximum Impact Travel, each experience keeps getting better. This was my second time traveling to Ghana with MIT, and all I can say is JUST WOW! Every expectation was met and every need was handled to perfection. Looking forward to my next trip with Maximum Impact Travel next year!

Our trip to Ghana with TSP and Maximum Impact was nothing short of extraordinary—truly a life-changing and soul-enhancing experience. From the moment we touched down, we were embraced by the warmth of the people, the richness of the culture, and the powerful energy of the land. This wasn’t just a vacation—it was a sacred journey home. Each day brought us deeper into connection with our roots and ancestors. Standing on the very soil our ancestors once walked, we felt an overwhelming sense of belonging, pride, and healing. The experiences were beautifully curated to both educate and empower—from visiting historical landmarks and sacred sites to participating in meaningful cultural traditions. We had the incredible opportunity to make our own shea butter, learning directly from local women who have preserved this practice for generations. We also crafted our own bead bracelets, a symbolic and creative experience that allowed us to carry a piece of Ghana with us wherever we go. We returned home with so much more than souvenirs. We left with full hearts, renewed purpose, and a deeper understanding of who we are and where we come from. This journey reawakened our spirits, deepened our faith, and strengthened our connection to our ancestral lineage. If you ever get the opportunity to explore Ghana with TSP and Maximum Impact—take it. You won’t just visit a country, you’ll rediscover yourself.

From airport arrival to airport departure, the MIT team and their affiliates accommodated us like dignitaries. The designated hotels, selected restaurants, tours, and improvised stops along way were excellent. A handful of planned activities and stops were unexpectedly canceled due to factors beyond MIT’s control (e.g., weather challenges, unexpected holiday closures, etc), but the guides were able to pivot and improvise. It was all money / time well spent.

We were a small, fun, diverse and well-connected group. We learned so much. Were treated well and never had a concern. We laughed and had a lot of fun. Our guide did a fantastic educating us and was well respected by other guides in similar positions. That's why we travel with Maximum Impact.

This was an excellent trip - very well planned and organized, with each day conducted as expected. Historical information, sightseeing, shopping, and the atmosphere of Ghana were experienced during this tour. We were able to try excellent foods in a variety of restaurants. The guides were excellent, and provided extensive narratives about the sites we visited, answering questions while accommodating the individual needs of our party. Thank you, Rosanne Smith

I had the absolute privilege of joining the Gateway Experience Ghana, July 2022. There's only one word to describe it - TRANSFORMATIVE. Jay has done the work and created a truly phenomenal travel experience. Because of his efforts, I connected with the ancestors, with Ghanaians, with Africans and with myself. I fell in love with Ghana and am now planning to move there. Jay and his local team - the incomparable Morris and the loyal Ernest - took care of every detail and provided a trip that was informative, enjoyable and safe. I don't think I could have that experience with any other tour operator. From now on, I will only travel with Jay and Maximum Impact when I visit any place in Africa. In fact, my group and I are planning to travel together again to Tanzania next year. It's just that deep. If you love Black people and Blackness, then love yourself by booking a trip with Maximum Impact!

Customer service exceptional! What a pleasure to work with Maximum Impact Travel for this trip. They are thorough and very attentive as there are several steps to traveling to Ghana; the entire Maximum Impact team made the booking process seamless with EASY-to-follow instructions. All questions I had were answered promptly and professionally. And, oh my goodness, once you get to Ghana, you will be warmly received by the Maximum Impact team and treated like a V.I.P. Accommodations are clean and super-comfortable and offer all amenities. Don’t hesitate booking the trip if you’re traveling solo as I was. It’s a trip of a lifetime where you will meet wonderful traveling companions, tour the country with knowledgeable guides and wish that the trip was longer. I LOVED IT! A powerful and stirring cultural tour that also includes fun-loving activities. Outstanding job by Maximum Impact. I’m already planning my next tour with you.
