We love basing our Vermont Gravel experience from East Burke. It's a small community with a lot of energy, great resources, and plenty of entertainment - all within walking distance of our accommodations at The Village Inn. Known for its world-class mountain bike trails, East Burke quickly accesses a network of well maintained gravel roads. When the Kingdom Trails are crowded, we bounce from town to town, through valleys and over mountains, yet we see very few riders all day long. Vermont's roads are 54% dirt and we're going to spend 5 days sampling some of the best.
Quiet, untrafficked, safe gravel road riding
Walking distance to the town of East Burke makes this trip perfect for couples or non riding partners
4 days of eating Vermont's outstanding seasonal foods and a very special Jasper Hill Farm cheese tasting
Mountain creek access for swimming and post-ride sauna recovery
A craft beer lover's perfect gravel experience (Vermont has the highest per capita brewery ratio in the US)
Our Vermont Gravel experience highlights our dedication to seasonal foods and supporting local agriculture. Vermont's food network is incredibly strong and offers a unique experience - one we love sharing at our Vermont table following a big day on the bike. Many towns we'll ride through have farm stands, and the fields lining our routes are growing produce, raising livestock, or producing dairy products. Team chef, Zander Ault brings the stories of these food producers to his menu's for an incredible week of dining.
Vermont Gravel balances adventure and relaxation well. Our home base at The Village Inn offers comfortable living spaces, outdoor dining patios, swimming in the creek, a sauna, all moments from downtown East Burke. There's a communal kitchen space where guests can keep their own food or make a cup of coffee or tea anytime of day. During our Vermont Gravel experience we will have the entire property to ourselves, creating a quiet, peaceful spot to hang out in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
