Back onboard, enjoy delicious meals prepared by the crew, unwind with a book on the sundeck, get a massage, or simply take in the view.
After a final morning on the water aboard our luxury cruise, you’ll disembark and make our way to the lush, mountainous region of Pu Luong—a hidden gem few travelers get to experience.
The 6 hour drive is scenic, winding through terraced fields and remote villages. Once we arrive, you’ll settle into our beautiful eco-lodge, Pu Luong Boutique Garden, nestled in nature, with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and rice terraces from your balcony and total tranquility.
Lace up your hiking shoes—today’s trek takes you from Ban Don village to Kho Muong (approx 7 miles with 500 ft elevation gain), passing breathtaking mountain scapes and rice terraces, ethnic villages with stilt houses and local farmers along the way. It’s a beautiful, immersive glimpse into rural Vietnamese life.
After trekking, you will transfer to Ban Cong and cross a suspension bridge to reach one of Pu Luong's most scenic villages, where the largest stream flows through. In the afternoon, cool off with a swim at Thac Hieu waterfall and then later, float down the river on a traditional bamboo raft.
You'll end the day with sunset from our hotel pool looking out over the rice terraces. This will be one of those “How is this real life?” kind of days.
Start the morning with an optional sunrise photo shoot among the beautiful rice terraces just outside the hotel. Later in the morning you’ll explore the peaceful Mai Chau Valley by bike, pedaling through farmlands and sleepy villages surrounded by vibrant green hills and rice terraces.
You'll also visit a traditional Thai weaving village and learn about the brocade weaving process and try your hand at weaving a few simple lines under the guidance of a local artisan.
Afterward, you’ll return to the hotel where you can book a relaxing massage or go for a refreshing swim at the pool overlooking the rice terraces.
In the morning you will depart Pu Luong and drive back to Hanoi (approx 3.5 hours). For those joining the Hoi An extension, you’ll catch a short flight to Da Nang in the afternoon and transfer to one of Vietnam’s most charming and picturesque towns.
Once there, you will settle into our luxury boutique resort, La Siesta Hoi An Resort & Retreat. At night, the group will gather together to wander the lantern-lined streets, eat dinner along the river, and soak in the laid-back magic of Hoi An.
*For those who choose NOT to do the Hoi An extension, you can schedule your departure flights from Hanoi for anytime after 3PM on March 11th.

In the evening after dinner, we’ll take a traditional boat ride and release lanterns into the river for a wish-filled finale to a beautiful day.
Use this free day in Hoi An to do as you choose: shop the colorful streets, get fitted by a tailor, make a custom lantern, go to the beach, relax by the pool, book a massage, or simply soak in the magic of this charming town.
