About this trip

Trade the ordinary for waterfalls, jungle trails and the feeling of being fully alive.

Wild + Alive is a six-day, five-night journey through Costa Rica’s adventurous side. Created for travelers who want to move, explore and experience the landscape more fully, this intimate journey blends waterfall hikes, jungle trails, ATV adventure, local culture, mindful movement and restorative rituals.

The experience is fully curated, allowing guests to enjoy the spirit of adventure without having to manage the logistics. You arrive ready to explore. Vajra Jahra handles the journey.

About the host:

This inaugural Signature Journey has been thoughtfully curated by Vajra Jahra’s in-house retreat strategist as the official launch of our new Signature Journeys collection.

These pre-curated experiences are designed to make gathering your people simple. In the future, approved hosts will be able to apply to bring a group into one of our existing journeys. You may choose to travel alongside your community as the host, or have the experience led by a trusted local facilitator while you simply bring the group.

Vajra Jahra handles the villas, itinerary, meals, activities, local partners and on-the-ground coordination, so the host can focus on connection and community

The Journey Day by Day

Day 1: Into the Valley

Meet your group at Quepos Airport and begin with lunch overlooking the coastline of Manuel Antonio. From there, travel into the lush Diamante Valley, settle into your private villa and gather for a relaxed welcome dinner as the jungle comes alive around you.

Day 2: Come Fully Alive

Follow the trail through the jungle toward Nauyaca Waterfalls, where the sound of rushing water grows louder with every step. Swim beneath the falls, cool off in the natural pools and experience the scale and energy of Costa Rica’s wild landscape.

Day 3: Ride the Wild

Climb onto an ATV and explore the backroads, rivers and rugged terrain surrounding the valley. Return to Vajra Jahra dusty, exhilarated and ready to settle into a slower evening at the sanctuary.

Day 4: Slow Into the Senses

Let the morning unfold without urgency over a leisurely brunch. Spend the afternoon receiving a massage and enjoying spacious time to rest before coming back together for an evening of Latin dancing, music and movement.

Day 5: Restore and Reconnect

Visit a local artisan market and meet some of the makers, flavors and creative traditions of the region. Later, gather at a local bathhouse for guided breathwork, sauna and cold plunge before returning for a celebratory final dinner.

Day 6: Carry It Home

Wake slowly, share one final breakfast and reflect on the moments that made you feel most alive. Leave the valley with new connections, unforgettable memories and a little more of Costa Rica still moving through you.

Who This Journey Is For

Wild + Alive is for travelers who want an active and immersive Costa Rican experience without sacrificing comfort, nourishment or restoration.

You do not need to arrive with a group or have prior retreat experience. This is an open-enrollment journey for individual travelers, friends and community members ready to experience Costa Rica in a more meaningful way.

Booking and Journey Confirmation

This journey requires a minimum of six confirmed guests to operate and is limited to eleven guests.

Your reservation is secured once your required deposit or payment is received. Guests should wait to purchase international airfare until Vajra Jahra confirms that the journey minimum has been met.

Special Future Retreat Credit

Your first journey to Vajra Jahra may be the beginning of something more.

Guests who attend Wild + Alive and later book a qualifying retreat at Vajra Jahra will receive a $1,000 credit toward their future retreat.

Credit is subject to retreat minimums, availability and the terms outlined in your future retreat agreement. It is nontransferable, has no cash value and cannot be combined with another promotional credit unless approved in writing.

Activity and Mobility Considerations

This journey includes hiking, uneven jungle terrain, waterfalls and motorized adventure activities. Guests should be comfortable with moderate physical activity.

Participation in individual activities may be subject to weather, local conditions, health considerations and operator requirements. Alternative experiences cannot always be guaranteed.

Cancellation Policy

All payments for this retreat are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Because this is a small-group retreat with limited space, your registration reserves your spot and allows us to make advance commitments for lodging, meals, transportation, facilitators, excursions, and other retreat expenses. For this reason, we are unable to offer refunds for any reason, including but not limited to illness, injury, personal emergencies, travel delays, flight cancellations, weather, changes in personal circumstances, or inability to attend.

We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage that offers Cancel For Any Reason protection, as soon as possible after booking. Cancel For Any Reason coverage is typically time-sensitive and may need to be purchased shortly after your initial payment.

It is each participant’s responsibility to review policy terms carefully and choose coverage that protects their investment in the retreat, flights, transportation, and any other travel-related expenses.

If the retreat must be canceled by the host due to circumstances beyond our control, we will communicate available options at that time. The host is not responsible for reimbursement of airfare, travel costs, or other expenses incurred outside of the retreat package.

By registering for this retreat, you acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy.
