TRAVEL EXPERIENCE: VJ made every aspect of the travel experience seamless. As soon as we landed at the airport, we experienced what felt like true white glove service all the way through our time at the venue, excursions, and the flights back home. Not a bag lost or misplaced, and every detail pre-planned for a smooth transition. ACCOMODATIONS: The villas are a perfect blend of luxury and immersion into the beautiful nature that the property sits on. Floor to ceiling windows and glass sliding doors grace the front of the property, letting you wake up and drift to sleep surrounded by the lush jungle. Despite the visual inclusion of the natural elements, you still have access to the comfort of AC, warm water, and fresh coffee in a private kitchenette. In the future, I'd love to see the space enhanced with warmer lighting and shelving in the bathroom to accomodate personal toiletries. During my 5 day stay, we received housekeeping services once (which wasnt an issue for an overpacker like myself), but the venue may consider enhancing this frequency dependent on the guests. A golf cart ride to meals for those in the lower villas would be an awesome improvement too. EXCURSIONS: The excursions facilitated by VJ are in a class of their own. A wonderful combination of the "touristy" fun that one likes to dabble in on vacation, while injecting the local flare of Costa Rican neighborhoods. Everything we participated in was locally owned and operated, allowing us to experience once-in-a-lifetime adventures while supporting the locals that made the trip possible. I enjoyed every moment! While we had a baseline "what to expect", it would be wonderful if in the future, the venue provided more in depth briefs. For example, our group was warned to be prepared to get dirty during our ATV excursion, but had no clue about the stop we would make at a local coffee farm and the opportunity to swim in a waterfall during our ride. These were of course welcome surprises, but it wouldve been nice to be prepared with swimsuits and extra cash to make the most of it! MEALS: Every meal was absolutely fabulous. The staff met our dietary restrictions with grace and had every plate "Instagram-able"! STAFF: All of the staff is nothing short of professional and friendly. While I appreciate the respectful nature of the staff not fully injecting themselves into our conversations and activities, I would have welcomed a bit more rapport with them. For example, Mazzi and Eric introduced themselves at the start of our stay but I don't think I ever learned the name of the kitchen and transpo staff. It would have been nice to get an introduction from the whole crew, along with them telling us about the meals they presented/places they were taking us. I later discovered a lot of the staff were local, so getting their input and introduction to the sights and scenes would have been more than welcome. If you need an example of the perfect blend between professional and warm/welcoming, I would look to Eric. He was an absolute pleasure to have with us from start to finish. He introduced himself, shared a bit on his role and how he would make himself available to us and was friendly and collaborative throughout our journey. He perfectly understood the balance between being an unofficial part of the group and fulfilling his role as lead photographer on the trip! We not only captured amazing photos with him, but had great conversation and learned more about the local culture through him. OVERALL THOUGHTS: VJ is truly a place where you can have it all. Quiet luxury, connection to nature, adventure, rest, group activities, restful private lounging and everything in between. I am only a few days removed from my trip and am already plotting on how I can get back to this beautiful property! I would recommend it to any and everyone.

We had a great time the property was absolutely beautiful! Waking up to the most beautiful views and the sounds of the howler monkeys was such an amazing experience. The staff are amazing the food was delicious. What a wonderful space for yoga . Great adventure, beautiful villas, amazing grounds, clean. Awesome people, lots of creatures, fresh meals. Lots of detail. Excellent organization from travel, excursions, everything planned out well. Paradise, tons of fun.
