Our 2027 photo workshop is a special photography celebration - A Winter to Remember.

The best winter photography experience is to stay inside the park. Unlike companies that stay in gateway communities, we have full access to interior roads and locations from sunrise to sunset. With limited lodging inside the park, this provides our group with minimal crowds during peak photo hours, and this experience is unsurpassed. Experience Yellowstone at its finest!

Please plan your arrival at BZN prior to 12:00pm on January 24, 2027.

Many photographers choose to arrive a night early in case of winter flight delays. If you choose to arrive early, please book your room at Holiday Inn Belgrade, MT. The hotel has a free shuttle from BZN.

Please plan your departure at BZN after 3:00pm on January 30, 2027.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Groups Yellowstone reserves the right to change or alter group dates, and confirms actual dates in July 2026. While it would be uncommon for the dates to shift, please wait to book your flight until full confirmed dates from the park.

Winter in Yellowstone requires you to be in general good health. You will be walking in snow and on walkways with potential ice (we encourage crampons to prevent slipping). You must be able to carry your own equipment on trails and to photo spots.

Lodging - Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel

Depart Mammoth Hotel at 7:30am on our private snow coach and begin our photographic adventure through the park. Our luggage will be transported in a separate coach so that we have plenty of space for gear. Full day of winter photography and fun.
Lodging - Snow Lodge at Old Faithful

Our private snow coach will take you to areas within the park to photograph landscapes, wildlife and winter wonders. We will explore the remote location of Hayden Valley known for wolves, fox and otters. This area is also wonderful for vast, minimalist landscapes with hills of snow and trees.
Lodging - Snow Lodge at Old Faithful

Our private snow coach will take you to areas within the park for full day of photography. The geysers at Biscuit Basin and Fountain Paint Pots are spectacular, and we will focus our time going through these locations to capture the best frost and steam landscapes Yellowstone has to offer.
Lodging - Snow Lodge at Old Faithful

Full day exploring the interior of Yellowstone. We will track wolves and follow the wildlife wherever it takes us. Photograph frozen falls and other wonders of winter.
Lodging - Snow Lodge at Old Faithful

A full day of photography from the interior to northwest. We will check-out of Snow Lodge in the morning while your luggage is transported in a separate vehicle so there is plenty of space in our snow coach for gear and comfort.
Lodging - Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel

10:00am - private shuttle from Mammoth Hot Springs to BZN

Please book your return flight after 3:00pm. If you are unable to get a late afternoon or evening flight, the shuttle can drop you off at the Holiday Inn at Belgrade. This hotel offers free airport shuttle for your return the next day.
