I've taken surf lessons in several places around the world, and Dominical Surf School is hands down the best. It's not even a competition. Every single coach I've had has been wonderful. They discussed what I knew and what I wanted to learn, and then explained things clearly throughout the lessons. I wanted to be able to more reliably read and pick waves to ride, then become stronger and more reliable at catching them, and my instructor (Gonzo) got me there! Thank you! And, I haven't taken their beginner lessons, however I've seen them on the beach in Dominical and *really* wish my husband and I had taken our first lessons with Dominical Surf School -- they are clearly excellent, and take advantage of Dominical's white water so that students get the feeling of how to pop up and ride, rather than exhaust themselves paddling.
