For the 2021 season, Covid is a known variable and should be accounted for when applying for and paying for a trip. If you cancel because of general Covid concerns (e.g. current cases in your community, availability of vaccines, risk to your household as a result of your participation), it will be treated the same as a non-Covid reason, described above.
We will treat cancellations differently if you:
In the event that you are infected with COVID, exhibiting symptoms of COVID or know that you have been exposed to COVID please DO NOT attend this trip. If you cannot attend a trip for these reasons your deposit will be applied as a credit on any future Wild Within adventure or offering and any additional payments made will be refunded.
Documentation (e.g. Covid test, or a letter from a doctor, employer, or school administrator) may be requested to verify your health status.
You will be refunded all payments made in excess of your initial deposit. Your deposit will be applied as a credit to use toward future Wild Within trips and offerings.
There are two main reasons we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip:
1) Travel insurance provides financial protection in the event you must cancel due to personal injury or illness, unexpected scheduling conflicts, the health or death of loved ones, job changes, and other reasons. Cancellations are a lose-lose-lose situation: for you, for us, and for the group (which will miss out on your wildness).
2) Travel insurance provides supplementary medical insurance in the case you are injured or become ill during your trip.
We strongly encourage that you purchase travel insurance, especially if you must fly to the trip location and we require you to have travel insurance that includes coverage for medical emergency for Wild Within trips conducted outside the U.S.
Here’s a few travel insurance companies where you can purchase travel insurance for your trip:
Wild Within LLC has a permit to operate commercially in Yosemite National Park.
