This was such a beautiful and life-affirming trip!!! I had never been on a tour before, and was apprehensive about group travel, but had two of the best weeks of my life! I feel so blessed to have spent this time in Northern Pakistan. I wanted to stretch time and stay with the mountains, lakes and glacial streams forever. This was my second time in Pakistan and some things I love that on this trip I realised might actually be ancestral are: magpies, putting head out the sunroof, comfy clothes, warm rocks, shades of grey, maximalism, running water, chips, shades of blue, swing chairs, horses and proper chai with every meal <3 I am forever grateful to Sistours for having the brilliant idea of curating and facilitating this breathtaking trip, and making it possible for so many of us to have this unreal experience, in an environment that felt so well-considered, accepting and safe. Every meal, every hotel, every location was perfect. I'm also very grateful for Aisha's excellent choice of local tour guide, Hannan Balti, who brought so much incredible knowledge, care and fun to every leg of this epic trip. This was my first ever time visiting Pakistan, and it definitely won’t be my last. Before even arriving in Pakistan, the organiser, Aisha, was very well versed on how to prepare for the trip, including extremely detailed whatsapp messages, emails (including an extensive packing list), and 2 zoom calls to meet the rest of the group and ask any questions. Upon arrival, we met Aisha and the local tour guide Hannan. Both of whom were extremely welcoming and full of energy. We had amazing drivers who were confident and calm when driving through difficult roads and terrains. We had plenty of stops throughout our coach journeys, for food, washrooms, viewpoints and just general sight-seeing and shopping. I felt safe, comfortable, and at-ease throughout the entirety of the trip. The views in Northern Pakistan were the best I have ever seen. The journey up to Fairy Meadows was definitely a highlight for me. The jeep rides were adventurous with unreal sights, and the horse riding was so much fun. Definitely a bucket-list moment ticked off. This is definitely not the trip for you if you want to relax or shop for a few weeks, it’s action packed with activities and sight-seeing. You also need to have a certain level of fitness as some of the walks/hikes can be tiring and challenging, so be ready to get your steps in. Of course, because all of the above was made explicitly clear beforehand, and of course I did a lot of Googling and Tiktok searching in my own time, I brought my hiking trainers, and went for it. Along the way we had Aisha and Hannan’s support, always quick to get amazing photos and videos of us in scenic spots. Their links with the local people were unmatched, and I felt extremely cared for at all restaurants and hotels. I specifically like how we went to unique and uncommon places to eat and stay, it wasn’t everyday 5* luxury hotels or curries/biryani for dinner every night, and that is what made this trip authentic. We got to know the real Pakistan, and like Aisha says, Sistours trips are “not your average group trips”. There is real sense of culture, authenticity, and realness in all aspects. Not to mention, having Hannan as our tour guide, somebody who has grown up in the North, just made everything 10x more stress-free. You could really just switch your brain off and enjoy everything being taken care of, and that’s what I wanted. A few of my highlights includes: one of the drivers stopping our jeep in the rain, to go outside and pick us some fresh peas from the fields. Another highlight would be visiting a family’s home for traditional food, their hospitality was unmatched, and I felt like I was at my own home. And of course the cosy nights around the bonfire at Fairy Meadows, playing games, drinking chai, and singing nasheeds with the group. I really really enjoyed the past few weeks and I have been so sad since returning back to the UK. I miss the views, the coach journeys, and the genuine laughs and conversations I had with the other sisters on the trip. I have recently returned from a wondrous trip to Pakistan and I already want to go back! We travelled as part of a group tour, organised by Sistoursofficial.  The trip from loud and energetic Lahore to the peace and beauty of Northern Pakistan, including Fairy Meadows and back to London via Islamabad has been the most unforgettable adventure of my life. To be honest, there are so many images, thoughts and emotions pulsating though my mind and heart, it is hard to know how to convey how wonderful this trip was. Lahore welcomed us with its history, warmth, and culture,  a city with its heritage proudly on display. As well as the  ancient mosques show-casing centuries of incredible architecture and art, we were treated to a sumptuous meal at the Haveli Restaurant overlooking the Badhshahi Mosque, a truck art session at the  Lahore Heritage club and an afternoon of military entertainment at the Wagah Border. Heading north, the scenery transformed dramatically. After the most beautiful plane journey through the snow-capped mountains we arrived at Skardu and used this as a base to explore Gilgit Baltistan, Shigar, and Khaplu, where we visited ancient forts, serene valleys, beautifully coloured lakes, glaciers and the most awe-inspiring mountain views. As a busy Londoner always on the go, it was magical to experience a pace of life that felt beautifully grounded. Every stop and corner revealed unimaginable, breath-taking beauty which cannot be captured in photos. A good thing that these memories are forever seared into my heart and brain.  But this journey wasn’t just about beauty, it was also about resilience and tuning into your sense of adventure. Travelling north required flexibility and adaptability as the landscape, pace, and conditions changed dramatically. The adventure intensified with the jeep ride to Tattu Village, a route often described as one of the most dangerous roads in the world. It’s not a journey for the faint‑hearted: steep cliffs, narrow paths, and rugged terrain that tested our nerves but ultimately rewarded our bravery with the most dazzling views and the sense that I was a true explorer. Not gonna lie, but Indiana Jones can move over and make way for me! From here, the glorious hike and horse ride to Fairy Meadows demanded stamina and determination. The trail winds through forests, climbs steadily, and kept us alert at every turn as we  navigated steep, narrow mountain routes with breath-taking drops and views that made our hearts dance with joy. Reaching Fairy Meadows felt like earning a place in a dream and this was the highlight of the entire trip for me.  The meadows were truly otherworldly, with Nanga Parbat towering above like a guardian. The crisp chill nights under the starry, starry sky were peaceful, magical, and unforgettable. The forests, the mist, the anticipation... It felt enchanted, almost unreal, as if the world had paused to let me breathe, regulate and reflect.  From Northern Pakistan we returned to the lush city of Islamabad with its rolling Margalla Hills, the glorious Faisal Mosque and the dramatic skyline seen from the Daman e Koh view point. What a great  contrast from both the calm and serenity of the mountains and vibrant Lahore! This trip gave me history, culture, adventure, and moments of stillness I will carry forever. Pakistan is a country of warmth, wonder, and raw beauty — and this journey reminded me that the most extraordinary places often require courage, openness, and a willingness to embrace the unknown.  Pakistan exceeded every expectation, and I would recommend this journey to anyone seeking a travel experience that encompasses culture, heritage, breath taking views and adventures. Be warned though, once those majestic, snow-capped mountains get under your skin, you will want to return again and again.  Aisha from sistourofficial has thought of everything. Her itinerary is ambitious and comprehensive and covers a huge amount. From the very beginning, she was available to answer all questions and to settle any nerves. Throughout the trip she and her trusted tour guide Hannan Balti went out of their way to answer questions, provide surprises, check in with us and ensure that we were having a gorgeous holiday.
