This trip was truly a remarkable one. I didn't know what to expect going in, and was met with an incredible group of like-minded people, the most beautiful eco-resort, and a shared mission to learn about coral restoration and do something impactful for the ecosystem. Tevana House Reef felt like home immediately upon arrival, and I could go on forever about the hospitable staff and absolutely DELICIOUS food. The course was run well, and I left with a better foundational knowledge about coral biology, restoration methods, and even diving technique. I enjoyed using the restoration techniques in the restoration areas on the house reef, and it felt like I was making at least a small difference. Mads is clearly an expert in her field. Getting to learn from her and hear about her work on a deeper level was really special. The fun dives in Bira were amazing--the local guides (especially Deni!) were knowledgeable and passionate about the dive sites. Overall, this trip is one I will remember forever. I am so grateful to Mads and the team at Tevana House Reef for making it such a great experience.

An exceptional blend of meaningful conservation work, adventure, and wellness. The hands-on coral restoration with the passionate Gaia One team was both educational and rewarding, whilst Tevana House Reef provided outstanding hospitality with delicious food and rejuvenating wellness sessions. The diving was spectacular, the group atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every element felt thoughtfully curated. A truly transformative experience that left me inspired and connected to both the ocean and like-minded people.

I had the most incredible time on this trip. Mads is absolutely wonderful and so inspiring. The accommodation was beautiful and the food was phenomenal (I have never eaten so well in my life)! All the diving was amazing, and it was so cool to get involved with the coral restoration. It was a lovely group of people, and none of us wanted to leave! Thank you so so much 🩵

This trip truly was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. It really was magical in every aspect! Everything was carefully planned and both Mads and the local community were wonderful hosts. I will never get over the experience of swimming with these mantas for the first time - completely wild and natural, with careful informative guidance from Mads and the local dive team, about how to behave in the water to ensure the mantas are relaxed and unbothered. Mads is incredibly knowledgeable about the ecosystem surrounding the island and I loved picking her brain on all things marine science - it was fascinating to learn about all the research going on behind the scenes to keep this wild place as preserved as possible. I would recommend this trip to anyone in a heartbeat :)

This trip has been a once in a lifetime experience. I enjoyed every part of it. The location, the accommodation, the organization, the team, the incredible trainings we received, the community in the Island, the amazing dives... everything was perfectly organized to make it an unforgettable experience. I feel very lucky that I had the chance to spend this time with Mads, Githa and the amazing Arborek dive center crew. I have been really impressed by the dives there, Arborek offered a wealth of marine life that surpassed all my previous diving experiences. And also by the kindness and warm welcome from the community in the Island. As the trip came to a close, it began to feel like home I will for sure look at the next trips and I can only highly recommend to join if you are looking for an amazing local experience, well organized, that will for sure fulfill your mind and your heart.
