Great day out and a big ridge ticked off the list! Scott was calm and kept us relaxed through out, highly recommended. 👍🏻

As a keen solo walker , there were a few walks that I thought I would never do . Walks like the Aonach Eagach Ridge , I just didn't think doing this on my own would be a good idea , lack of scrambling experience and confidence were the major factors. Then my wife booked me a Skye Cuillin trip for May 2026 with Elite Guides , and that changed my mind set . I looked into other trips and noticed Elite Guides did an Aonach Eagach Ridge day out , so I booked that for 25th April 2026 , partly to get experience and partly to get to know how the company worked . I honestly can't recommended them highly enough . Communication throughout was excellent and on the day Scott met up with me as arranged and drove me to the start of the walk . The walk took us 6 hours 40 minutes , with Scott checking that the pace suited me , also gave me lots of wee tips on my walking style and adjusting my pack . It gave me a lot of confidence to have someone with so much experience there with me and I never once felt unsure or unsafe . If you are looking to do something that may be outside your comfort zone , or just need that little bit of extra reassurance , then I wouldn't hesitate to contact Elite Guides and get it booked , you will not regret it . Now I can't wait to go to the Cuillin next week .

Fantastic day out with Scott bagging two of the cuillins that I would not have had the skill to do solo. Felt very safe all day, and could just focus on enjoying the epic scenery. Scott was able to accommodate us last minute, and the whole day was very relaxed. I plan to do more courses with him asap! 10/10, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We spent two excellent days with Scott winter climbing and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The goal was to build the skills and confidence to go out climbing independently, and Scott delivered exactly that. On the first day we were on Ben Nevis seconding him, which was a great way to observe his systems and learn the fundamentals in a real mountain environment. The following day we headed to the Cairngorms where we progressed to leading ourselves, putting those skills into practice under his guidance. Scott was extremely knowledgeable and very quickly understood our individual abilities and how best to help each of us progress. He struck a perfect balance between instruction, encouragement, and giving us the space to apply what we were learning. By the end of the two days we felt far more confident in our skills and decision-making in winter conditions. I would highly recommend Scott to anyone looking to develop their winter climbing skills.

The planning of the hike showed that Elite is a flexible organisation. The time of year helped that I could book fairly shortly before the day of the itself. And it was so worth it. Good company, good advice and preparation. And we needed it all. Great views that I could enjoy because I knew I could trust the guide to do it all safely. Running into a big group with big packs and still not really the right equipment as well as people in shorts and slippery shoes made me really happy having a guide.
