The Rhine River Watercolor Workshop was AMAZING!!!! French Escapade (Valerie and Jackie) are the consummate organizers. Everything was meticulously planned. We received regular communications far in advance of our departure date. They were always available for questions. The ship was amazing--comfortable, all-inclusive, caring staff, wonderful food. The combination of watercolor instruction with three outstanding teachers and seeing the sights from Amsterdam down to Basal, Switzerland was magic. And there were fun evening activities aboard the ship also. There is no other European River Cruise out there quite like this one. I have attended one other French Escapade trip in Sonoma, California, which was also fabulous. Thank you Valerie and Jackie for creating such a magical life-experience for us!

The sketching and painting cruise with French Escapade was wonderful! I had a great time. The three art instructors were top notch and each offered instruction and creative inspiration in different but complimentary ways. The entire staff of FE and of the Symphony boat were amazing and their level of care and attention to us was fantastic. The boat was very comfortable. The dancing in the evening was so much fun! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious.

This was a fantastic trip! I loved it all, from the French food on the boat to the wonderful places we visited to the tour/group leaders. My favorite was definitely the fact that it was a painting trip and all I learned from our amazing instructors. Everything ran smoothly and was well planned and thought out. French Escapade is staffed and run by amazing, capable, and personable women. I will definitely be taking more trips with them.

Traveling the Rhine with fellow artists and art teachers was a unique, exilerating, painting experience. The French Escapade program was brilliantly designed to allow a variety of opportunities for fellow artists to learn watercolor techniques one-on-one from world class teachers. The Symphonie dining room and lounge areas accommodated our group to mingle and share our daily activities. The staff was especially professional and kind. This trip ranks as one of the best I’ve ever taken. Thank you Jackie and Valerie!

It was the art trip of a lifetimes. Great teachers and organizers (thanks Val and Jackie). Our tour leader, Mariana, was organized and personable. The boat was a lovely setting with a nice crew and excellent cuisine. I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!
