We had a wonderful time at Niños de Guatemala. The kids were so loving and respectful, and we had a blast joining their PE class. We were also genuinely impressed by the level of education, the fact that they already teach English from age 4 says a lot about the quality of the program. The staff were warm and welcoming, and we stayed with Doña Olga and Patricia, who made us feel right at home. Grateful we could be part of this, even if only for two days!

This was such a rewarding experience! I did the day volunteer option. The organizer, Eva, was great to communicate with. I got placed in a 3rd grade classroom. The kids and I talked in simple Spanish. I helped check papers and played games. It was great seeing how a school operates in another country. Sign up...you won't regret it!

Even if I stayed only one day, volunteering at Niños de Guatemala was a very enriching experience! I felt very welcomed and appreciated. My few hours were well balanced between information about the system and idea of the NGO and acting directly with one of the teachers in a class. I can only recommend volunteering there!

We went on the Worry Dolls tour, it was so good! We met in Antigua, got a chicken bus to a town where we went into Rosa’s house to make worry dolls, and then visited a school ran by the organisation. Our guide Andrea was fantastic! She explained everything really well and was very helpful too. Would recommend this tour to see the real Guatemala with the comfort of a guide!
