My husband and I recently returned from a wonderful trip in Province France. We took a one week trip with Katie Thoms of Hathaletics. To say it was a 10+ is an understatement. Except for midday heat, everything was perfect. We chose to fly into Marseille at our own expense to help with jet lag. Katie had arranged for transportation for us to the estate. When we arrived, we were taken to a beautiful room and bathroom with tub and shower. The estate had air conditioning. The next morning we experienced morning yoga in the lavender fields
and a wonderful European breakfast with every food imaginable. After our breakfast each day, we had a tour of various places of interest within an hour of our estate. In the afternoon we could rest, indulgent in meditation, keep a journal, or swim in their beautiful swimming pool. We enjoyed three meals a day which proved to be a little exorbitant. At dinner we had a three course meal by an amazing chef. We also had a sommelier, Alric, who told us about the various wines that could be paired with the dinner of the day. Our sommelier,Alric, was an amazing young man who accompanied us on our daily excursion, and spoke three languages: Danish, French and English.
Our group was small and ages ranged from 50-80. My husband and I are in our late 70’s with bad knees. Katie instructed us in chair yoga while others did yoga on the mats. My husband even did meditation.
The night before each tour Kate’s sweet gentle enthusiasm made us excited about the next day adventure. During our tours, Katie and Alric were always with us to make sure we were able to physically make the walk. At the end of the week, Katie again arranged our transportation which took us safely back to Marseille for our trip home.
