Your staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel very much at home and looked after. Our bags were taken to the room for us which was very kind, every staff member made an effort to speak to us in English, and every evening meal we had, the chef took care to ensure the meat was well cooked as I was pregnant which was hugely appreciated. The Lobby area and the room we stayed in were all very stylish and well designed. There were some areas that could be improved on however:
- Daily cleaning service: we asked for our room to be cleaned twice during our stay and both days, we came back in the evening to full bins, dirty cups/cutlery/plates and our water and toilet paper hadn't been replenished.
- Booking.com description: we booked a Deluxe Queen Suite which said that it had an infinity pool. It was clear when we arrived that this actually referred to the main pool by the Lobby, it would be good to clarify this for future guests.
- Room cleanliness: When we arrived to our room, it was clear that the room hadn't been freshly cleaned. There were lots of dead moths throughout the room, and dust on the surfaces. There must have been a moth problem, as the grey bed cover also showed signs of being moth eaten.
- Room standard: adding a mattress protector and a deeper fitted sheet to the bed would improve first impressions of the room, as when we arrived the sheet on the bed didn't fit the mattress fully and we could see the mattress through the sheet. Additionally, when we arrived we were told that if we used the bath, we would need to wait about 30mins to get a hot shower as well. We didn't use the bath at all, but on two mornings of our stay, there was not enough hot water for each of us to have a shower one after the other.
I share the above feedback purely to help Hotel de Cielo improve their service for future guests as this could be a truly luxury experience with just a few easy improvements. Therefore I won't be sharing the above on public forums! Thank you again for the warm welcome and hospitality and we wish Hotel de Cielo a very successful future.
