The two day trip was really fabulous. Our pilot Paul was a superstar. Unexpectedly the areas beyond Lake Eyre were equally spectacular. I have given four stars only because we would have loved to have seen better communication about the trip from the tour organiser. Otherwise the trip is an absolute five star experience.

It was an amazing experience, in 4days we did and saw so much. Everything was so well planned and Craig was a great ‘team leader. I ate far too much but enjoyed it all, thank you.

Our 4 day/3 night trip to view Lake Eyre/Kati Thanda with Lake Eyre Tours was excellent. Craig, our guide, was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, interesting and interested, and he did a great job melding our group of ten people into a friendly, cohesive unit. We saw some unforgettable sights and experienced the desert in full bloom. Our accommodation and food/drink was excellent, especially at Parachilna and the bus had enough spare seats to allow us to spread out a bit. Highlights, not in any particular order, included driving through Ikara-Flinder’s Ranges National Park/Wilpena Pound/Brachina Gorge; Wadna Aboriginal Centre; Ediacara National Park fossil centre; Farina ghost town; the Marree Pub; our 90 minute flight over Kait Thanda/Lake Eyre; driving on the recently re- opened Oodnadatta Track to William Creek; the flat plains of green as far as the eye could see; the incredible wildflower display; turning off the Oodnadatta track to travel 160km of dirt road to Coober Pedy; racing the incoming rain front in the last third of the trek to Coober Pedy (and not being bogged indefinitely- thanks Craig 🙏🏻); the friendships and the unique experiences. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and the road closures and, most of all, with our host/driver/raconteur, Craig. It was a memorable trip. Thank you.

Overall we enjoyed the tour. The places we visited and the experiences were memorable. The highlights being the flight over Lake Eyre and travelling through Parachilna Gorge. It’s a shame that our WhatsApp group did not get organised as it would have been great comparing other peoples photos of our experience. As we were checking in at Coober Pedy for our flight to Adelaide it was very stressful to be told that Ross wasn’t booked on the flight yet I was booked. We were very grateful that Eddy was still at the airport and able to assist us by contacting someone in Lake Eyre Tours as our only contact number continuously went to voicemail. Fortunately Eddy was able to expedite and Ross was able to board the flight. As a suggestion your tour leader should check at the airport that all passengers are booked into the flight. Due to the stress experienced a follow up apology phone call would have been welcomed.

Hi Elena, Sorry for being a bit late on reviewing our Lake Eyre trip, we had a great time made possible by Craig's ability to handle everything so easily and laid back, from driving, booking accomodation, etc ,and general knowledge made the trip go so smoothly, and Nele couldn't do enough for everyone. We had so much fun and it was so interesting visiting the places in the 'outback' , and all the little stops on the road. Meals and accomodation were more than we expected and it all went like clock work although no pressure anywhere .Flights over that lake with so much water around was amazing. Our friends are all amazed at where we went, and what we did so expect a few more bookings. Thank you it would have to be one of the best trips we have done and we have done a lot of them.
