Nos fue muy bien con nuestro guia.  Nos tuvo mucha paciencia.  Al bajar del barco, ya nos estaba esperando, y durante todo el trayecto, nos estuvo dando mucha información del entorno y resolviendo todas nuestras dudas.  Fue muy amable y respetuoso, hasta el ultimo momento y trato de darnos todo el tiempo que necesitamos.
Por otor lado, el tour a Punta Tombo fue muy largo, pero valio la pena ver a todos los pingüinos en su entorno natural.

&nbsp;We leave the city of Puerto Madryn heading north, we travel through provincial route No. 2 until we reach the "El Desempeño" checkpoint where the entrance to the area is paid (approximately 40 km from Madryn) and we begin to explore and discover the charms of the Peninsula, its landscape, its flora and its fauna. Approximately 20 km from this we enter the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus, which is a narrow strip of land that joins the Peninsula with the mainland. The first stop we make is at the "Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center", which provides information on the ecosystem of the Peninsula, the species of marine fauna that are concentrated in large colonies throughout the Peninsula, the flora and history of the region. You can see the complete skeletons of a whale, different species of animals and the history of the inhabitants of the Peninsula, indigenous and Spanish. The center has a viewpoint, which can be accessed to appreciate with binoculars the narrowest sector of the Carlos Ameghino isthmus bathed on the right by the waters of the Nuevo Gulf and on the left by the waters of the San José Gulf. You can also see the Isla de los Pájaros, which is located about 5 km from this place on the San José Gulf. The island is an important colony of marine birds in conservation. We continue the tour until we reach Puerto Pirámides, the only tourist village on the Peninsula and the only place allowed for on-board wildlife viewing. Its beaches are protected by cliffs (bardas) that resemble pyramids, hence its name. In the village we make a stop of approximately 2 hours to embark on the unforgettable experience of sailing the waters of the New Gulf, if we choose this option, or simply enjoy the charms of the place. The navigations are carried out in boats of various capacities, from 5 to 70 passengers, and last approximately between one and two hours.&nbsp;

Salimos de la ciudad de Puerto Madryn rumbo al norte, transitamos por la ruta provincial N° 2 hasta llegar al control "El Desempeño" donde se paga el ingreso a la zona (aproximadamente a 40 km de Madryn) y comenzamos a explorar y descubrir la encantos de la Península, su paisaje, su flora y su fauna. Aproximadamente a 20 km de aquí ingresamos al Istmo Carlos Ameghino, que es una estrecha franja de tierra que une la Península con tierra firme. La primera parada que hacemos es en el “Centro de Interpretación Carlos Ameghino”, que proporciona información sobre el ecosistema de la Península, las especies de fauna marina que se concentran en grandes colonias por toda la Península, la flora y la historia de la región. Podrás ver los esqueletos completos de una ballena, diferentes especies de animales y la historia de los habitantes de la Península, indígenas y españoles. El centro cuenta con un mirador, al cual se puede acceder para apreciar con binoculares el sector más angosto del istmo Carlos Ameghino bañado a la derecha por las aguas del Golfo Nuevo y a la izquierda por las aguas del Golfo San José. También podrás observar la Isla de los Pájaros, que se ubica a unos 5 km de este lugar sobre el Golfo San José. La isla es una importante colonia de aves marinas en conservación. Continuamos el recorrido hasta llegar a Puerto Pirámides, único pueblo turístico de la Península y único lugar permitido para el avistamiento de vida silvestre a bordo. Sus playas están protegidas por acantilados (bardas) que asemejan pirámides, de ahí su nombre. En el pueblo hacemos una parada de aproximadamente 2 horas para embarcarnos en la inolvidable experiencia de navegar por las aguas del Golfo Nuevo, si elegimos esta opción, o simplemente disfrutar de los encantos del lugar. Las navegaciones se realizan en embarcaciones de diversas capacidades, desde 5 hasta 70 pasajeros, y duran aproximadamente entre una y dos horas.

Punta Tombo Natural Area, the largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins in the world. Magellanic penguins arrive here annually to nest, mate, have their young and shed their plumage, and then return to northeastern South America to feed and return the following year. 
We can also get to observe guanacos, piches, maras, rheas and foxes among others.
After the visit to the reserve we begin the return to Puerto Madryn.
