Would like to thank Patricia for customizing the tour with such a rich agenda to learn about traditional agricultural practice Waru Waru in Lake Titicaca, a visit to the island to see how local people live in the Lake Titicaca, then trip to Colca Canyon to see the nature reserves, the Llamas, the condors!!, the terrace farming in the Canyon, and the gorgeous mountains and volcanoes, and the lovely picnic at Freddy’s in the Canyon! Our guides Manuel and Roberto are so knowledgeable and humorous- they love this land, the flowers and animals, and the people! Our drivers are all amazing to drive us through the winding roads on the high lands and on the lake! It has been a wonderful trip for all of us!! It was an exceptional interesting and learning experience for me to see the Waru Waru farming practice which make this trip already worthwhile!! Manuel was such an engaging guide who explained the traditional farming in this region clearly and humorously. He also found dehydrated potatoes in the land for us- first time for us to see it:). The trip to the Taquile island was also very charming! And the lunch was so delicious!

Our 3 week journey through 3 very distinct regions across Peru went without a hitch. The itinerary and wealth of information provided before the trip, ensured that we were all well prepared for our journey and the diverse climate that lay ahead. Our food, accomodation and knowledge provided by every one of our amazing hosts and guides was outstanding!! There were many highlights during our journey but one of the standouts was the personal connection that we had with the Peruvian culture, history and communities. We spent three weeks in Peru traveling to four regions, Lima, Arequipa, Cusco/Sacred Valley and Puerto Maldonado/Amazon. We saw so much but didn’t feel rushed. Our accommodation, guides and transportation were excellent and great value for money. The itinerary ran smoothly and communication with Nanntu was pleasant and clear.
