This was a trip of a lifetime for me and well worth it. With our small group we were able to do more personal activities planned by our tour leader Mark Copeland.

First, compliments to the tour guide Mark Copeland. Mark was a wonderful guide with his encyclopedia level knowledge of the Eighth Airforce, and his constant concern for the participants wellbeing. The content of the tour was second to none. We visited many airfields and significant WWII sites. I am still thinking about all I learned and saw. Salute to Mark. We had some special moments, like having a toast for the fallen with the Royal Engineers at Debden, former home to the U.S. Fourth Fighter Group. We had an imaginary take off on down the same runway that Ace Donald Blakeslee used. For an instance I experienced what this airman felt on take-off. An amazing experience. We visited the Bentley Priory and the RAF bunker at Uxbridge. And the list goes on. The trip was a remarkable and unforgettable experience. The tour gave me the opportunity to follow my father's WWII footstep, an experience I will never forget. Bruce Krepley

I had a great time, great food, great accommodations and, moreover, unique and unfathomable access and additional grateful local guidance every day at almost every stop throughout our journey. An incredibly unique trip spectacularly composed and put together by Mark Copelan into a magnificent compilation of never before known history about the last year of service of my dear father, who wanted to be there with me but didn't make it, as a young 22-year-old B-17 dual navigator and gunner during his 23 missions from January to December 1945. Notably, the war ended in May 1945.....Being able to stand proudly face to the wind on my dad's old runway at what's left of the 381st Bomb Group Ridgewell Air Base was an extremely emotional experience. With sincere gratitude, I applaud and commend Mark's knowledge and hard work being able to assemble the amazing network of local talent that made the trip just remarkably outstanding. With best regards, Joe George

My wife and I traveled on the combination Easy Eight and Normandy/D-Day tour in October 2024. I have not stopped thinking about it since our return. On a personal level, we were able to connect to my father's service with the 100th BG through the kind attention of volunteers at Thorpe Abbotts. On a more general educational level, we learned about the incredible story of the Eighth Air Force and the overall D-Day invasion in a deeply affecting way through carefully chosen speakers and guides at multiple historic sites, museums, and cemeteries- some available to us only because of Mark's connections. The trip was easy and worry-free as everything was taken care of for us, and the hotels and meals were excellent. Our travel companions were fun and interesting and we enjoyed them all. Occasional free time allowed for a breather. Much more than a sight-seeing trip for us, the trip fulfilled our goals completely, and we highly recommend it- thanks to Mark and the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth. In addition to providing facts and dates along the way, Mark was able to personalize the trip and add small thoughtful touches that we all appreciated. We enjoyed every minute of the trip. We finally got to see Thorpe Abbots field where our dad was based in 1943-1944, a truly emotional and humbling moment. The other excursions were amazing, our fearless leader Mark was exceptional and we cannot praise highly enough our accommodations and excellent food. It was a trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much!
