I had a great time, great food, great accommodations and, moreover, unique and unfathomable access and additional grateful local guidance every day at almost every stop throughout our journey. An incredibly unique trip spectacularly composed and put together by Mark Copelan into a magnificent compilation of never before known history about the last year of service of my dear father, who wanted to be there with me but didn't make it, as a young 22-year-old B-17 dual navigator and gunner during his 23 missions from January to December 1945. Notably, the war ended in May 1945.....Being able to stand proudly face to the wind on my dad's old runway at what's left of the 381st Bomb Group Ridgewell Air Base was an extremely emotional experience. With sincere gratitude, I applaud and commend Mark's knowledge and hard work being able to assemble the amazing network of local talent that made the trip just remarkably outstanding.
With best regards,
Joe George
