I don’t really know where to begin, but I’ll do my best. Sometimes life presents moments that feel serendipitous, beautiful reminders of timing and our ability to manifest. Manifestation, to me, means having clarity about what you want, asking for it, staying open to opportunities, and saying yes when they arrive.
That was exactly the case with my decision to go on this retreat. I’ve known Jessica for about 15 years, mostly staying in touch through social media. I’d see her posts from time to time, and this invitation appeared with perfect timing.
Even though there was a full itinerary and a good-sized group (which would usually deter me, as someone who values solitude), I felt called to go, without knowing what to expect. From the moment I arrived and saw someone walking barefoot, my energy lifted. I didn’t know anyone other than Jessica, but I instantly felt at home.
From the warm welcome with fresh fruit and chile-dusted pineapple, to setting up my tent, to the opening circle where we journaled intentions and released what no longer served us into a bonfire, it all flowed. A silent morning followed by yoga, breathwork, cold plunges, floating and swimming in a beautiful lazy river surrounded by giant trees and rocks, spring diving into the blue hole, barefoot trail walks, nourishing food in constant abundance, sacred service with a world-renowned teacher, deep conversations, lots of laughs, and a bittersweet closing circle. Bitter because the moment was ending, and sweet because of the impact it had on my immediate evolution, all in under 48 hours.
This experience was truly life-shifting. It inspired me to take action on my life’s calling. It was medicine at its finest, and in the forest, which made it all the more magical. Beautifully and lovingly curated by Jessica and Marina. I’m in awe of what you both created. Feeling blessed. Thank you. - Evan
