I recently participated in the Tirana, Albania trip with Young and Stamped, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
Overall, the trip felt extremely unorganized. There was little clarity on the daily itinerary, and at times it seemed like even the host did not fully understand the schedule or plan for each day. This lack of structure made it difficult to relax or feel confident in how the trip was being managed.
I also observed a lack of professionalism throughout the experience. The host was at times rude to local staff, which was uncomfortable to witness and did not reflect well on the group. Additionally, there was a noticeable disconnect between the host and some of the travelers. Rather than actively ensuring everyone felt included and was enjoying the experience, there seemed to be little effort to check in or address concerns.
The accommodations did not match what was described prior to the trip, which was especially frustrating given the price point. I paid approximately $2,000 for this trip, plus an additional $300 specifically for a private room. Despite this, I was placed in rooms with multiple beds rather than receiving the single/private room I paid for. This is a clear mismatch between what was purchased and what was delivered.
Food and dining were also an issue. There were multiple occasions where the group meals provided were unsatisfactory, to the point that myself and other girls had to go out and purchase additional meals afterward. This resulted in unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. It often felt like the host did not have a clear plan for where or what we would be eating, or even consistent clarity on accommodations, which is unacceptable for a paid group trip.
A significant amount of time was spent traveling rather than actually enjoying destinations. For example, one day involved two hours of driving followed by two hours by boat just to reach a lake, only to repeat the same long journey back that same day. What made this even more frustrating is that there were places to stay near the lake, which would have made far more sense and allowed for a better experience. This highlights how poorly planned parts of the itinerary were.
Another concern was the way the trip was presented versus how it was executed. It was marketed as a thoughtfully planned experience, but in reality, it felt disorganized and poorly coordinated. At times, it even seemed as though the host approached the trip more like a personal vacation rather than a professional responsibility, despite participants paying a significant amount for the experience.
Overall, I did not feel that guest satisfaction was a priority. There was little to no effort to accommodate concerns or improve the experience, even when issues were apparent. For the amount of money paid, there should be a much higher level of organization, communication, and customer care.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve future trips.
