We were cocooned in the jungle at Yarina ecolodge for 4 days and loved it. Our guide, Henry, was pivotal. He was amazing - able to impart his huge knowledge about the environment and the culture. We were lucky to have him all to ourselves. We were almost the only guests for a large part of our stay which served to make it an even more tranquil experience. Everything was impeccably organised. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, the food was copious and all the activities were engaging. I especially enjoyed visiting the school.

What a wonderful experience all around! The entire experience was top notch. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and did everything to make our stay pleasant. The meals were excellent and tasty - hats off to the cooking and wait staff. Our table was overlooking the river and jungle - what a view for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cabin we were assigned was great, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean, and the room was refreshed each day. The best was the hammock on the porch! The plan for each day was written on the board in the main lodge the evening before so you knew what to plan for the next day. The absolute best was our guide, Livio! He was a great guide, taking us on wonderful walks in the forest, canon rides on the river, piranha fishing, bird watching and a great night hike. His eyes were sharp and he would point out things that we would never had seen if looking ourselves. He was extremely knowledgeable about the flora, animals and insects in the jungle but also talked about local customs and traditions of the local people. We learned so much from him. Overall, we would highly recommend the Yuturi lodge. We will definitely go back if we take another trip to the Amazon.

We have had a wonderful time. Our guide showed us many things about the jungle and gave us a chance to discover a lot of animals and plants as well as learning about local life. The food was very delicious and varied every day. The staff was just awesome. The cabins are very comfortable and the quiet in the night is just unique.

The good: The lodge is very well maintained, rooms are nice, 24/7 electricity, warm shower (only at night?). Wifi for 10USD per device for your entire stay. Trails are easy to follow. Food is pretty good, mostly western style. Owner was very helpful with arranging transport and manager Stefano is polite and nice. The lesser part: Our guide Diego did not gave us a welcome feeling. At arrival nobody came to us to explain anything, so we just joined some other tourist at a table for lunch. Later Diego came to say hello and explain some basics, but the only info about the activities was “a long walk after breakfast” for instance, and we constantly had to ask what to wear and bring. 
During the activities Diego does not explain much, but we mostly need to be silent. Some info is incorrect (for instance about snakes/venom). We saw some pretty unique animals and Diego does have a lot of knowledge about the area and history. 
I would recommend the lodge, even though it’s not a cheap option, but the guide you get really can make a difference in how you experience this area.

Amazing immersion into the jungle of Yarina and the Napo river. Olivio was a wonderful guide, food was great, and each excursion was filled with innumerable wildlife sightings, learning about the jungle lifestyle and ecosystem, and plenty of time for independent exploration. Transfers and coordination of events were seamless and easy. Highly recommend.
