Both delightful and insightful experience! The accommodation in the luxury finca was a perfect match for the retreat’ s activities and an oasis of relaxation and the vegetarian food freshly prepared for us everyday could have satisfied the most demanding of foodies. The teacher, Ty Landrum, with his energy and complex workshops and the wonderful people I met in the retreat make me come back next year for the two weeks intensive course.
Ty Landrum's yoga instruction was excellent as always he is such a great and devoted teacher. The grounds of the center were covered in beautiful gardens the landscaping was exceptional. The pool was great and I swam in it as much as I could. The food was very good and the cooks were extremely accommodating, the best! But there was often not quite enough food for all of us. The rooms were very nice, but we needed mosquito nets or screens on the windows, the mosquitoes were fierce and it was hard to sleep. We also needed more precise directions. I would definitely go back if they got the mosquito nets.

The Yoga Intensive was exzellent, food was delicious due to a gorgeous young lady cook; unfortunately, the amount of food was barely enough for all participants, and the beautiful accomodation lacked service and moskito nets. As the costs for the retreat were in the upper price range, I would have expected a more professional organisation regarding accomodation and service !
Hi, I'm sorry but my retreat has been a HUGE disappointment: 1. I've booked based as well on the beautiful pictures of a great finca with a swimming pool and a great garden. Last moment the place got changed, from the beautiful finca to a simple accommodation in a crowded town. I haven't been even asked if ok for me. 2. I could have been warned as the organiser, Pilar, from the beginning was very unresponsive. My emails, as well as emails of our participants, have got unanswered for weeks (later Pilar told me she was in Egypt at that time, but this is no excuse if you organise a retreat - it's your duty to provide information on time) 3. When I arrived, nobody was waiting for us at arrival, so it was difficult even to find the building (Loft 1882 is on Booking.com, but has no sign at all, and Google maps doesn't lead to the correct place) and, when finally found, nobody was there to open the building (a neighbour finally called a cook, who opened the door - what kind of welcome is this???). 4. Pilar, the organiser, gave me the mobile number of a woman from Chile, who was supposed to help me. Being in Mallorca, I was supposed to call Chile to find out how to get to Loft 1882. Almost funny. 5. Our accommodation was not what we were promised. Instead of 2 bedrooms, 1 bedroom, so 1 person had to sleep in the living room. Not even a hair dryer in the room. 6. Nobody was available in the morning, not even to make a coffee before classes, so everyone was running to Starbucks or (in my case) buying own coffee beans to prepare a coffee in the room. 7. Our yoga classes were in the dinning room, where the furniture was just push aside. Not the environment I expected to get for the amount of money I've paid 8. Last not least, I've asked Pilar many times to get an invoice for the retreat. In vain. I can understand that the difficult task to organize a retreat was too much for Pilar, but I can't understand that she is not even able to prepare and e-mail an invoice. In summary, I would advice everyone NOT to book any retreat with Balearic Retreats, as the organization of this retreat has been a disaster. Namaste Olga
Great week, incredible food and instructor! I would highly recommend to this to yoga practitioners of all levels!
