About this trip

"True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are.  It requires us to be who we are."  - Brene Brown

In this 3 day retreat, you will increase your insights and begin to establish a foundation for your personal landscape as you elevate your awareness and understanding through yoga, meditation and mindful eating.

"Radical acceptance of all of your emotions -- even the messy, difficult ones -- is the cornerstone to resilience, thriving, and true, authentic happiness.  When you are allowed to feel your emotional truth, engagement, creativity and innovation will flourish."  - Susan David

*Rachel Bunting will lead a Kundalini class and an Awareness Through Movement class.  Rachel will also be offering Reiki treatments during the retreat.

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that promotes balance within the whole system: body, mind and soul.  Reiki is Universal Energy that flows through the practitioners' hands and into the recipient to heal in whatever way is best for their highest good at that point in time. The treatment is done on a table, and the recipient is fully clothed. Outcomes are different for each person, from subtle to profound. Most agree it promotes deep relaxation, improved sleep and a lifting of emotional weight.

Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement classes use slow, mindful movements to achieve powerful effects in terms of strength, flexibility, and holistic integration of body and mind. The teacher guides students through a sequence of movements, encouraging them to move with gentle attention within a comfortable range. The student may become aware of unexpected and interesting connections within and between the movements. As they attend to the improving quality of movement, unnecessary muscular tensions throughout the body can reorganize and release.

*Rachel Bunting

For over a decade, Rachel Bunting (Raj Nidhan Kaur) has been immersed in the life of a performer, choreographer and teacher. She is thrilled to also be a Certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Kundalini Yoga and Meditation continues to transform her life, shining light onto paths of gratitude, abundance and courage.

Helen Lee
Helen Lee, E-RYT® 500, YACEP®, started yoga as a way to compliment her dance studies only to find herself in more yoga classes than dance classes. She believes yoga, meditation and mindfulness is a powerful, healing practice that can bring the balance of strength and grace into anyone’s life. Mindfulness is a practice she has been cultivating and evolving in herself and her teaching. She received her 200hr yoga certification from Chicago Yoga Center with Suddha Weixler in 2007 and in 2013 completed her 300hr yoga certification from Rishikesh Yog Peeth in India. Fascinated with movement from a very young age, she studied dance and theatre at University of Hawaii and has performed, studied and/or taught yoga in China, Belize, India, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Chicago, Hawaii and New York. She has co-lead Yoga Teacher Trainings and continues to widen her scope of discoveries by traveling solo and participating in silent meditations.

Helen is an incredible teacher that approaches her sequences with thoughtfulness and a genuine love for her students. Her classes introduce meditative themes that are interlaced with her sequences from start to finish. She has an extensive knowledge of yoga philosophy and has a very well-rounded background of study. She uses personal experience to make advanced themes relevant and relatable. One sixty minute class with Helen will leave you relaxed, focused, and mentally and physically stronger than you were when you entered the room.

Helen is an exceptional yoga instructor on so many levels. She has a calming energy that sets a great tone for class, yet she also creates sequences that are both physically and mentally challenging (in the most amazing way). When I practice with Helen, I know I will have a "click" moment -- one where I finally relax about a problem that's been on my mind or I'll realize I'm able to achieve, or get closer to achieving, a posture that I never believed I could do. She's also such a warm, kind person all around.

I've had the great opportunity to not only take Helen's classes, but also to learn from her in my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Helen has a beautiful connection to not only movement but to each and every student she encounters. Her flows are unique and inventive, and her extensive knowledge of yogic philosophy is inspiring. She really knows how to workout your mind, body, and soul! Past her involvement as an instructor, she teaches us through example with her kindness, care, and drive. You can tell she loves what she does and I am so grateful to know her! i highly, highly recommend her. Cheers, Emilie
