About this trip

Join Joan to the beautiful hills of Monferrato in Piedmont, nestled deep in the wine country of Northern Italy, situated an hour away from Milan, Turin and Genoa, and few minutes drive from Acqui Terme, an old Roman bath town where you can immerse yourself in the classic Italian culture and see some of the ancient Roman ruins.

The "Noceto Michelotti Country House" is located in a breathtaking valley surrounded by vineyards, that in Autumn turns into a rainbow of colours from red to yellow and brown.

Within the silent harmony of nature, at the sun rise, experience the sweet morning run of deers and fawns. The house offers charming rooms and apartments, designed with character and in true Italian country style, each with amazing views of the surrounding hills and vineyards. The majestic house also offers relaxing areas, outside gardens, patios and a heated pool.

There will be two yoga and meditation classes each day, along with all meals provided, including healthy vegetarian and fish options with an ayurvedic taste. Excursions include walks, hiking, bike rides and a visit to the Roman town of Acqui and to the famous wineries and cellars of the region, together with a full day excursion to the nearby Italian cost of Liguria, where you can discover the romantic Camogli, and unique and sophisticated Portofino.

Come celebrate Italian culture and with a tribe of like-minded friends and find your bliss in the lush country of Italy!

It was a great opportunity to immerse for few days in a nice and calm environment, Italian Vineyards, practice great Yoga, eating good vegetarian food, have some rest. Perfect for a reset!
I went on this retreat for the yoga first and the setting second. Of course, practicing yoga in the peaceful, inspiring setting of the Piedmont vineyards is a winning combination, but it is the yoga teacher that sets the tone. I have practiced with Joan Hyman in Los Angeles at Yoga Works and Wanderlust. I knew going in that this would be a high level, attention-to-form and personal-power series of yoga sessions. I was not disappointed. Joan is meticulous and learned, while being extremely good natured and positive about the details. We are all working hard with the sense that this awesome person is behind us to reach our yoga potential. At the same time, Joan brings spirituality and experienced meditation to the practice without ever imposing a point of view as "this is THE way to do it." I was already sold on Joan as a teacher for drop ins; I am now certainly going to take more of her intensives and retreats. With a 15-year yoga practice behind me, I can definitely recommend any retreat where Joan Hyman is involved.
