Black History Tour + Queer Tango Class & Milonga Outing

AM - Black History Tour

Come along on a unique tour that explores the often-overlooked Afro-Argentine history and culture, led by members of the local community. You’ll discover the African roots woven into the fabric of Buenos Aires’ buildings, stories, and even tango. Our tour of the historic neighborhood of San Telmo takes you from Parque Lezama to the iconic Plaza Dorrego, uncovering the rich legacy of Afro-Argentines from pre-colonial times to the modern-day activism reshaping the country’s relationship to race. On this walking tour, we’ll explore the old slave trading quarters and housing, as well as the National Historic Museum, San Telmo Church, Dorrego Square, minimal house, and tenements. Along the way, you’ll learn about the history of the Afro-Argentines, as well as the process of invisibilization of Black heritage and the activism that fights for an anti-racist Argentina. We use the profits from our Black Heritage department to promote affordable tours for locals, sponsor free tours for kids and highlight the contributions of our Black community. Join us and see a different side of Buenos Aires that’s often hidden in plain sight.

Queer Tango Class + Milonga Outing

Join us for a private lesson of tango dancing! In this new generation, traditional gender roles are bent to give birth to the Queer Tango scene. We will learn fluid and changing roles for dancing with Laurent TPK, Mother of House of Tropikalia, living legend an pioneer of the Cuir Tango style. We will have a teacher and one assistantsto help us get our footing before heading out to the milonga, the traditional dancehall of tango.

Gaucho Countryside Day

Gaucho Culture in the Pampas

Escape the bustle of Buenos Aires and immerse yourself in the soul of Argentina’s countryside on this full-day journey to San Antonio de Areco, the heartland of gaucho tradition.

Accompanied by your private guide, you’ll set off on a scenic drive across the pampas to reach this charming colonial town, where cobblestone streets, silversmith workshops, and historic pulperías (old taverns) tell the story of rural life. You’ll stroll through town before arriving at a working estancia, where Argentina’s equestrian culture comes alive.

Enjoy a traditional asado lunch with a full spread of grilled meats, homemade empanadas, salads, and local wine. Between courses, relax under the trees as local musicians play folk music, or witness a gaucho horsemanship demonstration — a display of skill, pride, and connection between rider and horse.

Throughout the day, your private guide and driver ensure a seamless, comfortable experience, allowing you to soak in the scenery, stories, and spirit of Argentina’s countryside.

Return to Buenos Aires in the late afternoon, carrying with you the warmth, flavor, and folklore of the pampas.
