Excellent holiday which included interesting walks with plenty of fantastic geology. The Lochranza Field Centre looked after us very well for our food and accommodation. A very nice group of like minded enthusiasts with Angus’ excellent leadership makes for a thoroughly enjoyable holuday.

Angus did not dissappoint on our recent trip to Arran. It's an island with fabulous geology, and beautiful scenery. He took us on lots of good walks as he explained the rocks. I enjoyed it all. The group was really friendly, and we had excellent catering at the Field Studies Centre. Angus has a knack of explaining the geology to suit all levels of knowledge.

All aspects of this trip were excellent from booking through to finishing the course. The organisation went well without a hitch and the teaching by angus on the diverse range of geology on Arran was first class and delivered in a very easy to understand way.. The Activity Centre was entirely suitable for this trip and all of the meals were freshly prepared and tasty. Every one in the group seemed to enjoy the food. It was also a great mix of folk in our excursion group and the social chat in the evening and round the coffee machine was great. I would have no hesitation in recommending a Geowalks holiday or short day excursion to anybody interested in learning about Scottish geology.
