This trip to Iona was everything I hoped for. Yoga, hiking, friendly accommodations, and beautiful Scotland. However, what made this trip special was Jurian and her co-leaders. I appreciated the depth of learning, the optional spiritual practices and opportunities for connections, all delivered with a light touch. Thank you for the facilitation, the invitations to go deeper and the simple joy in beauty. The melding and integration of traditions was a balm for these times.

Absolutely amazing experience. The retreat leaders did a phenomenal job of creating a sacred space and balancing activities with solo time. The accommodations and food were precisely as described: simple in an appropriately monastic fashion, but very comfortable, and the staff were extremely attentive to guests need.

Sacred Connections was exactly what I hoped for and longed for in my spiritual growth! Jurian's yoga and movement classes gave me great grounding and strength for each day's adventure! (I am in awe of Jurian's beautiful and strong voice, which she readily shared)! David's vast philosophical, psychological and spiritual repertoire ignited my desire for more and more knowledge. Linden's anthropological and historical knowledge woven with her botanical healings strengthened my connection with Nature. To weave all these enlightened beings and events together was Simon's beautiful and hypnotic music, teachings and experiences to Iona and his deep, deep connections to the sacred! One of my highlights--and there are many, many--was walking through the meadow from the Bishop's House to the Abbey, especially on the first night on Iona, using our flashlights and then participating in the beautiful service. I felt this walk was familiar to me and reminded me of a peaceful time in my past. So many magical and divine moments! The Bishop House provided delicious vegetarian meals for me and I am grateful for their nourishment.

Amazing! Sacred Connections was one of the most transformative, moving, welcoming and well-planned retreats I’ve ever attended. From beautifully crafted daily yoga classes, to sacred and soulful music, to jaw- dropping scenery and walks, to contemplative and inspiring poetry and conversation, each element of this retreat wove our group into a web of warm belonging and sacred connection. While Bishop’s House accommodation was very comfortable (but not fancy), it suited this small island that has thrived for centuries upon simplicity and contemplation. All in all, a retreat not to be missed for the thoughtful traveler!

Great retreat, full of insights and discoveries. I particularly liked the synergies between the four facilitators. The island is unique. The food was not extraordinary and the accommodation is fairly basic, but I didn’t mind.
