The accommodations were great at a beautiful villa with fantastic food! Sara arranged for daily morning yoga, 2 different excursions to lovely Tuscan towns, delicious food made on site daily, and a few local activities including a winery tour & tasting, and cooking class)! She was a perfect host, creating a cohesive group of diverse women who shared stories and shared experiences. It was a fantastic group of women and fun was had by all! I highly recommend!!

I felt so refreshed after this trip.  The team did a great job in the itinerary, the place, and authentic feel in Tuscany with the people and staff. Will repeat. Only recommendation will be to know the food menu or theme  for the food dinner in advance with a bit more meat and cheese during the week as options. Overall, great experience.

Soften and Rise Retreat

A day retreat at Restore Studio, Annapolis.There is a weight most of us carry without naming it - the tension in our shoulders, the habits we have outgrown, the stories that no longer fit. This day is an invitation to set it down.We begin in circle with a conversation about what you are ready to let go of. From there, restorative yoga softens the body, and breath work gently opens the space where you have been holding on too tightly. After a light lunch together, we turn inward with guided journaling to name what you are releasing. Then group acupuncture meets you exactly where you are, followed by sound healing, a quiet rise back into yourself, lighter and more whole than you arrived.No experience required. Just come as you are, with whatever you have been carrying. We will guide you from there.

Day Retreat 

There is a version of you waiting on the other side of a week like this. The one who is well-rested, clear-minded, and fully at home in her own body. January 16-23, 2027. Seven nights at Bodhi Tree in Nosara, with a small group of women who are ready to step out of their daily rhythm and come home to themselves. This is the retreat I've needed for myself these past few years. Rest when desired. Movement when desired. Space to actually hear yourself think. Meditation and gentle movement in the open-air shala. Afternoons are yours: rest in a hammock, walk the beach, join a women's circle, or book optional acupuncture with me to settle your nervous system and support deep sleep. Sunset restorative yoga and walks to the beach. The Five Elements Framework We weave ancient wisdom through your week to ensure a profound reset: Wood (Play): Exploring the jungle and embracing curiosity. Fire (Joy): Shared laughter, connection, and reigniting your spark. Earth (Nourishment): Vibrant, local foods and grounding energy. Metal (Letting Go): Shedding daily stress to create space for what matters. Water (Restoration): Reclaiming your deep energetic reserves. What Makes This Retreat Different Unlike standard wellness getaways, this is guided by a Board Certified functional medicine and TCM practitioner. I designed this week for the women I see in my practice every day: the ones who are ready to feel like themselves again. We will have real conversations about your hormones, your sleep, and your nervous system. You will have access to optional acupuncture sessions, daily meditation, and women's circles where you can say the quiet part out loud. This is expert-level care, delivered in a jungle setting. You will leave with tools that actually stick.

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Sara Poldmae, Doctor of Chinese Medicine, functional medicine practitioner, yogi, and the founder of Meadow Hill Wellness and Restore Studio in Annapolis, MD. For over 20 years I’ve been helping women come back to themselves, in the treatment room, in the studio, and now, in some of the most beautiful places in the world.Designed for women who want to experience beautiful places without being rushed through them, to actually land somewhere, breathe it in, and leave feeling more like themselves. From the rolling hills of Tuscany to the jungle coastline of Costa Rica, each retreat blends gentle movement with restorative practices… yin yoga, breathwork, meditation, sound healing… nourishing meals, and spacious time to absorb the landscape around you, or to turn inward.

This October, we gather in the rolling hills of Chianti to experience Italy the way it was meant to be experienced... slowly. No racing from landmark to landmark. No packed itineraries. Just mornings that unfold gently, espresso on the terrace, unhurried walks through a quaint Italian village, afternoons unfolding as they may, and long dinners that stretch into the evening under the Tuscan sky.There will be soft, grounding movement and restorative practices woven in, but the real rhythm of the retreat is spaciousness, time to notice, to taste, to breathe. Restorative yoga led by Sara Poldmae and Vinyasa by Allie Cushley.This is for the woman who wants to savor Italy rather than check it off a list. To feel the warmth of the sun on old stone, to linger in conversation, to let beauty sink in instead of rushing past it.
