What I was expecting: a nicer facility and more shared activities designed to promote personal growth and build community through shared experiences—things like journaling prompts, group sharing, meditation, and blessing ceremonies. What I received: the experiences I had on this trip were truly profound! I wouldn’t trade them for anything. While the accommodations weren’t quite what I imagined, I quickly learned to look past that and be grateful for what did work beautifully—the air conditioner! I hadn’t realized that people would choose to spend much of each day doing individual activities away from the retreat center, so I wasn’t prepared to plan anything for myself. I had assumed the scheduled activities were meant for the entire group. It didn’t bother me that others followed their own interests, but I found myself craving more community connection. Next time, I’ll plan additional personal experiences to support my spiritual journey more intentionally. I’m deeply grateful for Bali and for you, Patti—for creating a space that allowed me to start fresh, begin healing, and rediscover my true self. I am forever thankful. 🌺

Thank you, Bonnie! I share the exact same sentiments. Were you at the table when we were dicussing the disappointment in the accomodations? That new building was promised to be ready for us, but the damage during the rainy season unexpectedly forced us back into the old buildings, which I felt had fell under disrepair. The feeling was felt by us all, and for that I do apologize. And, well, thankfully the air conditioning worked, lol. I appreciate you sharing your opinon, it reinforces our decision to relocate next year to a better location (and with no hill) and updated, better maintained spaces. I think by trying to make a more flexible itinerary it opened up to a more scattered feeling and less cohesiveness. I should have stuck with what I knew worked. But I truly value you and your opinion, and appreciate your trust in me. I am grateful for the time we had together in Bali and being allowed to hold space for you.

I want to start by saying how incredible Bali itself was—such a beautiful, special place—and I truly appreciated Patty’s recommendations for additional activities and experiences. Those suggestions ended up being some of the highlights of the trip. That said, I do think it’s important to share some honest feedback about how the experience was presented and delivered. The biggest challenge was that the expectations set around this being a “retreat” didn’t quite match the reality. It felt less like a structured retreat and more like joining along on someone else’s vacation, without the level of intention, organization, or support that many people would expect from a retreat setting. The accommodations were also much more basic than anticipated, and clearer communication about the standard of lodging ahead of time would have helped set more accurate expectations. Additionally, the included offerings felt somewhat limited. The yoga sessions were quite short and at times felt a bit reluctant, rather than being a central, thoughtfully guided part of the experience. Many of the more immersive or culturally rich activities involved additional cost, while the included experiences tended to be more on-site and less connected to the local Balinese community. Overall, while there were definitely positive aspects—especially the location and optional experiences—I think clearer communication, more structure, and a stronger alignment between what’s advertised and what’s delivered would make a big difference. I’m sharing this feedback in the spirit of helping future experiences feel more intentional, supportive, and aligned with what participants are expecting when they sign up for a retreat.

What a great trip! Patti handled all the details and I learned so much about Balinese culture. The yoga, breath sessions and classes were amazing too. I loved making new friends and connecting with amazing women. I will definitely go to Bali, or anywhere else, with Patti again! Thank you thank you! Namaste :)

What an experience! This was the most beautiful, relaxing and adventurous trip. The food was amazing, the staff incredible, the yoga with Patti and breath work with Mary was fantastic. Learning about the culture and really infusing into the Baliness awhile enjoying the jungle surrounding us, I mean wow. A trip of a lifetime and I cannot wait to go back!

This was probably my best visit to Bali yet! The group was fantastic, the drivers were amazing and as always Patti and her team created an amazing flow for the week. I love how we blended spiritual practices with immersive experiences into Balinese culture. This retreat is truly a one of a kind. Thanks again Patti for a great week where I felt renewed, supported and seen!
