Glacier On My Mind: A Women’s Discovery Expedition (July 29-August 3, 2026)
Alpine lakes, starlit skies, and stories written together beneath Glacier’s summer sun - this is Glacier the way it should feel: unrushed, deeply beautiful, and shared with a small circle of women who want real adventure without the chaos. We’ll start early (because Glacier rewards the early risers), chase that golden light across mountain passes, and let the park set the pace - wildflowers at our feet, waterfalls in the distance, and those “is this real life?” overlooks that stop you mid-sentence.
Our home base is West Glacier area lodging where mornings feel grounded and evenings feel easy - coffee, laughter, simple meals, and the kind of downtime you actually get to enjoy because everything is handled. You’ll experience Glacier classics woven in with heart: a Red Bus day for iconic storytelling and scenery, an evening boat ride on Lake McDonald when the water turns glassy, and an east-side adventure designed to land you at Logan Pass at a prime time to watch the mountains glow.
✨ This trip is built for easy to moderate hiking with flexible options - you can stretch the mileage when you’re feeling strong or take the scenic version with longer pauses and quieter moments. Either way, you’ll come home with more than photos: you’ll carry the feeling of Glacier in your chest… and the kind of sisterhood that forms naturally when the pace is human.
What’s Included:
All meals and snacks from the first pickup to the final drop-off (breakfasts, trail lunches/picnics, and dinners - a mix of local favorites and simple, satisfying food on the go), plus drinks throughout the day (water, coffee/tea as available). Private ground transportation with Christine driving from the first meet-up to final drop-off, listed entrance/parking fees, and hosted itinerary planning + guiding throughout the week. Christine will also capture trip photos throughout the trip, with a shared gallery provided after we return home.
Commercial Use Authorization will be submitted for Glacier National Park as soon as 2026 applications open. While we do not anticipate issues with approvals, we always travel with a solid Plan B - alternate day plans are available if an authorization is not awarded, including working with other approved guides/authorized services when needed so the experience stays seamless.
Not included: Airfare, any lodging/meals before the group pickup on July 29 (unless you have opted for the add-on days, see Travel Details!), personal incidentals, alcoholic beverages, souvenirs, and any optional add-on experiences not listed as included.
Pack light: Layers, sun protection, a daypack, and shoes you trust on varied terrain - Glacier days can be warm in the sun and cool in the shade, and weather can change quickly in the mountains. Suggested packing lists will be shared in the months/weeks up to the trip!
Note: Itinerary is subject to change based on weather, road conditions, permits/availability, and group needs. All listed meals, entry fees, transfers, and hosted experiences are included unless otherwise noted.
About Your Host & Local Guides:
Christine Baldwin serves as your trip host and retreat-style facilitator, shaping the overall flow of the week, handling logistics, and holding space for connection and reflection while keeping the vibe grounded and real.
We’ll also work with licensed local guides/operators where required or helpful (including our professionally guided Red Bus and Lake McDonald boat experiences). And because Glacier can shift plans with weather, road conditions, or access changes, we always travel with a solid Plan B - alternate day plans are available if conditions change.

Trip services begin with group pickup at Glacier Park International Airport (FCA), with arrival planned by 2:00 PM so we can settle in together.
We’ll head to our West Glacier area lodging, unpack, and let that first Montana exhale happen — the kind where your shoulders drop without you trying. Dinner is a cozy welcome at the house with a simple, beautiful charcuterie spread, built together and enjoyed slowly.
Later, we’ll take our first “hello” into Glacier National Park with an easy choose-your-distance walk along Trail of the Cedars and the Avalanche Creek corridor, letting forest light and rushing water set the tone. We’ll return home for downtime and an early night, because Glacier rewards the early risers.
We’ll start early from the West Glacier area while the park still feels quiet and fresh. Today is anchored by the iconic Glacier Red Bus Tour (2026 routes/times will be selected as soon as they’re released), so you can sit back and let the storytelling and scenery carry you.
If we land a half-day bus route, we’ll pair it with Lake McDonald moments — shoreline time, lodge wandering, photo stops, and an optional gentle walk if the group wants more movement.
If the bus runs full-day, that becomes the main event: big views, no driving stress, and a truly classic Glacier day.
We’ll keep lunch seamless with packed picnic/trail options aligned to the finalized timing.
Back at the house, the evening is relaxed and easy with a taco bar, then we’ll do a quick “build-your-own trail lunch” station so tomorrow morning feels effortless.
This is an early start (target 6:30–7:00 AM) as we cross via Marias Pass toward Glacier’s quieter east side. We’ll begin in the calmer Two Medicine area and warm into the day with a gentle waterfall walk at Running Eagle Falls.
From there, we’ll add meaningful depth with a cultural stop at the Museum of the Plains Indian (Browning) — art, history, and story that changes how you hold the land.
Then we head into the St. Mary waterfall corridor, choosing the right pace and distance for the group along St. Mary Falls, Virginia Falls, and/or Baring Falls.
Dinner is a hearty reset at Cattle Baron Supper Club (Babb) before we climb toward Logan Pass at prime time (aiming 6:00–7:00 PM) when crowds thin and the mountains glow.
We’ll finish with a choose-your-distance evening hike in the Hidden Lake area, then return to West Glacier with that satisfied, full-day feeling.
We’ll leave around 7:00 AM for a “Montana beyond the park” day — cool forest shade, big river energy, and a fun dinner to close it out.
First up is the hush of Ross Creek Cedars, where ancient trees and soft light invite you to slow down and notice what’s been there all along. We’ll walk the Ross Creek Cedars trails at a choose-your-distance pace, lingering for photos and quiet awe.
Next we head to the dramatic beauty of Kootenai Falls and the Swinging Bridge area — high-reward scenery and that wide-open feeling you only get near big water. Lunch is a waterfall picnic right there, because it’s hard to beat fresh air and good food with that view.
If timing flows well, Hungry Horse Dam can be an optional quick stop before dinner at Huck Patch (Hungry Horse) for huckleberry-inspired goodness and an easy, happy wind-down back at the house.
This morning we head up the wild, beautiful North Fork with a can’t-miss stop at Polebridge Mercantile for coffee and bakery goodness (the kind of place that feels like a postcard came to life).
We’ll continue on to Bowman Lake for picnic lunch and lakeshore time — glacier-fed blues, mountain reflections, and plenty of space to breathe. Hiking today is gentle and flexible with choose-your-distance rambles along the Bowman Lake area, focusing on beauty over mileage.
We’ll return mid-afternoon for downtime and packing time so the evening feels spacious.
Dinner is intentionally early with a 5:00 PM reservation at Belton Chalet, then we’ll take an unhurried Lake McDonald walk if timing allows while the light turns soft.
Our grand finale is the 7:00 PM Lake McDonald scenic boat tour, followed by cozy farewell reflections back at the house.
We’ll share one final breakfast together at our West Glacier area lodging, keeping the morning calm before travel mode kicks in.
After last photos, hugs, and those “how is it already over?” laughs, we’ll head out for airport drop-offs. FCA drop-offs will be completed before 9:00 AM.
For guests flying out of Missoula (MSO), we’ll depart after FCA drop-offs with a target 12:30 PM arrival in Missoula, so flights should be scheduled for 2:30 PM or later.
You’ll leave with Glacier on your mind — and a quieter kind of strength in your body from a week lived outdoors, together.
This day is available as a paid add-on in the checkout process.
🌄 Early Welcome to the Big Sky (Missoula Arrival Night)
If you’d like a softer landing before Glacier begins, arrive early into Missoula (MSO) and settle in for a calm, easy evening.
You’ll stay at the TownePlace Suites, which offers a free airport shuttle and an easy, low-stress arrival setup.
Dinner is on your own tonight (the only meal not included during the pre-trip add-on), and Christine will share a few walkable local favorites so you can keep it simple and get good rest.
This night is intentionally light — a quiet reset so tomorrow feels grounded and connected from the very first stop.
🦬 Wide Open Montana — A Grounding Day Before Glacier
Christine will pick guests up from TownePlace Suites (Missoula) at 7:30 AM, and we’ll begin with something unexpectedly peaceful: the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas (Arlee) — quiet, beautiful, and the perfect way to start.
From there we’ll head to the CSKT Bison Range for wildlife viewing and classic big-sky Montana scenery, then travel through Dixon for lunch before visiting the historic St. Ignatius Mission.
We’ll make our way north alongside Flathead Lake, watching the landscape shift as we near Glacier country, and arrive at our West Glacier area lodging feeling settled (not rushed).
Dinner is simple but provided — rotisserie chicken, fresh fruit, and vegetables — easy, nourishing, and no fuss as we ease into the main week. This day is available as a paid add-on in the checkout process.
