My daughter and I enjoyed a very relaxing few days at Clovermill.
It’s in a beautiful setting and, despite arriving on a horrendous evening, Julie was warm and welcoming. She is obviously very passionate about the Ayurvedic lifestyle and there was great attention to detail throughout the weekend.
The lodges are warm, comfortable and spacious and the food was flavourful and thoughtfully prepared and presented. There are areas to relax in the Mill and books to browse through. It was interesting to learn about the science behind Ayurvedic eating and lifestyle as well as to find out about the history of the mill, which Julie has so lovingly restored.
The massages were super relaxing and the classes with Lisa were amazing, incorporating aspects of Qi-Gong, Somatics and breathing exercises, as well as some more traditional Yoga poses and stretches. Lisa was also very mindful of ensuring our comfort throughout the sessions, adapting the exercises and poses to suit. Lisa also led talks about the history behind Ayurveda and about the vagus nerve and the stress response and how we can find ways to better regulate our nervous systems, in our day to day lives.
Thank you Julie, Lisa, all the massage staff and the chef. You are all doing a fabulous and very worthwhile job:)
